There is one bedroom with a queen bed on the main floor, and three bedrooms on the lower walkout level (one primary bedroom with king bed, and two bedrooms each with double/single bunk beds). Primary bedroom window faces the lake - wake up to lake views right from your bed! Modern Amenities: our cabin features two well-appointed bathrooms (one upstairs, and one ensuite to the primary bedroom), a fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar, air conditioning unit for hot days, in-floor heating for cooler days, and an inviting living area with a gas fireplace for cozy evenings. Enjoy modern comforts while staying connected with complimentary high-speed Starlink wifi. Full washer and dryer available. Outdoor Paradise: step outside to a large private deck with stunning lake views, or relax on the private dock. Enjoy morning coffee or evening sunsets while surrounded by nature’s beauty, relax in the evening around the firepit, or warm up in our 5-person lakeside hot tub protected inside a screened-in porch. Watch the pelicans and blue heron gliding by, and listen to loons at twilight. Beautifully landscaped yard with large trees to provide shade and privacy from neighbours. Lakeside Fun: enjoy access to the beach, offering endless opportunities for swimming, fishing, canoeing, and paddleboarding. Our cabin is on a shallow sandbar, making it great for kids! Spend your days exploring the water or simply relax on the private deck. Rinse off in our heated outdoor shower. We provide a shed full of lawn games, floaty toys, and two paddleboards (to be used at your own risk). For rainy days, connect your streaming services to our TV with our Chromecast, or try one of the many board games and other activities we provide. Year-Round Escape: whether you’re visiting in summer to enjoy the warm sun and water activities or seeking a cozy winter getaway, our cabin is the ideal destination year-round. In the winter, enjoy cross-country skiing, skating, or bring your ice fishing gear or ATV. The cabin is close to golf courses and ATV/snowmobile trails. Bring all your toys or just sit and enjoy the quiet outdoors! Ample parking: space for parking for several vehicles, including enough space to park an RV on our RV parking pad. Please note that guests do not have access to the garage. Explore the Skeleton Lake area: Skeleton Lake is a gem of an Alberta lake, known for its swimmable waters, great fishing, and sandy shores. It is about 1.5 hours from Edmonton and 2.5 hours from Fort McMurray. Explore the natural beauty of the area with walking trails, local wildlife and picturesque views. A public beach area with sandy beach, playground, and swim area is a 5 minute walk away. The town of Boyle is a 10 minute drive away, making access for groceries, gas, and other amenities easy and convenient. There is a Farmers Market in town on Thursdays during the summer. Guest access: Guests have access to the entire property including the whole home (excluding one storage room), yard, and a storage shed full of lake toys. Guests will not have access to the garage. Other things to note: The cabin is supplied by water in a cistern and uses a septic tank. We ask that you try to conserve water if possible and be gentle with the septic system. While the water is drinkable, we recommend using the water cooler provided for drinking water. As with most lakes in Alberta there can be times that algae and weeds may be present - the water quality on Skeleton Lake is better than many Alberta lakes and we swim almost daily in the summer, but water conditions can vary depending on weather, wind direction, and season.
