Relax in this beautiful, completely remodeled 1940's home with a large back yard. Located in the historic town of Altenburg, MO. Enjoy an open floor plan with new furniture, beds & furnishings. Full kitchen with new appliances, dining area, family room, high-speed internet and 3 bedrooms. Beautiful original oak hardwood floors & doors. You are minutes from museums, excellent food, breweries, wineries & wonderful people. Perfect for 1 to 6 people to enjoy the peaceful and scenic community. The space Enjoy a newly remodeled 75+ year old home in historic Altenburg. A perfect place for you to relax and use as a home base to see all the historic sites in Perry County. The house has 3 bedrooms. A large master suite with a king sized bed and bathroom with walk-in shower upstairs. You will need to do stairs to get to the Master bedroom. 2 bedrooms downstairs. 1 queen bedroom and another bedroom with 2 single beds and a large bathroom are downstairs. We also have a Pack and Play in the Master Bedroom for babies or toddlers to use. Everything in the house is brand new. All new furniture, beds, bedding, Smart TVs, appliances, HVAC, kitchen cabinets, etc. You will enjoy comfortable beds, beautifully restored original oak floors & doors and 2 spacious bathrooms with walk-in showers. New large screen smart TVs are in the living area and the upstairs master bedroom. You can quickly do your laundry with a new washer and dryer in the Utility room off the kitchen. We have a large back yard with a concrete patio for grilling and using the firepit. The house is very clean and the kitchen is fully furnished. Please, NO Pets and NO smoking allowed. If the calendar is blocked, please message the owner. We may be able to open up the dates you want. The Weber House is located in the middle of historic Altenburg. We are very close (2 minute walk) to the Old Bank Coffee Shop (awesome breakfast & baked items located in a historic old bank building) and the Candy and Curiosity Store (fun store in a historic old saloon). A short drive to the Lutheran Heritage Center & Museum (one minute drive); Saxony Hills Brewery (2 minute drive); East Perry Pub (4 minute drive); Saxon Lutheran Memorial (6 minute drive); Hemman Winery (9 minute drive); and Tower Rock (12 minute drive) Come see us and enjoy museums, family owned restaurants, micro-brewery and winery. Enjoy the local craft beers, wine, good food and great hospitality! Check out the very interesting German Heritage Museums (Lutheran Heritage Center and Museum and Saxon Lutheran Memorial)! Many weekends are filled with local festivals and picnics. We are only 25 minutes from Perryville where you can explore the National Veteran’s Memorial, American Tractor Museum and the Miraculous Medal Shrine and beautiful church. The National Veteran’s Memorial is an exact, full scale replica (including the soldiers names) of the Vietnam Wall in Washington D.C. This awe-inspiring full-scale Wall offers veterans, civilians and those currently serving, a place to reflect on the sacrifices of all service men and women in the quiet, peaceful setting that Perryville offers – at no cost. People from all over the U.S. visit this memorial site to avoid the difficult travel to the busy Washington D.C. site. The Weber House is 30 minutes from the SportsPlex and other attractions in Cape Girardeau. Ste. Genevieve is 50 minutes away and offers rich history, food and numerous wineries. It is Missouri's oldest town, filled with historic attractions, shopping, art galleries, acclaimed dining, live music and wine and cocktails. There are excellent hiking trails with amazing rock formations in nearby Pickle Springs Nature Trail and Elephant Rocks State Park! The Weber House is a perfect place for your family vacation, couple’s weekend or a quiet get-a-way! You will not be disappointed! The Weber Family has been very blessed since 1892 when Gene's Grandfather (Herman Weber) came to America from Germany and settled on The Weber Farm and then had the Weber House built when he sold the farm to his son George (Gene's father). We donate 10% of our annual revenues to support the African Vision of Hope ministry. They provide schools, books, food, clothes and Christian education to children and families living in extreme poverty in Zambia. If you are looking for a larger home with a beautiful farm setting.
