Glamping on Mudge Island

Description

Greetings! We are Ric & Jia, living the homesteader's dream on our 2.5 acre hobby farm situated on a waterfront property on beautiful rustic Mudge Island, a remote Gulf Island near central Vancouver Island accessible only by private boat. Whether you're looking for a nature & wellness retreat, a peaceful inspirational setting to write your next bestseller, or some outdoor fun in Nature's playground, come to Eagle's Nest B&B for an unforgettable island get-away! Meals & transfers can be provided. The space Relax in our comfortable 29ft luxury RV, thoughtfully equipped to ensure a cozy and carefree stay. Drift off to sleep wrapped in warmth, thanks to the heated quilted mattress pad, perfect for crisp island evenings. Delight in listening to the soothing sounds of nature as you relax and let your cares slip away. The property is situated atop a high bank overlooking Stuart Channel and Round Island. Several beaches are within walking distance. Just a 10-minute stroll leads to Dodd Narrows/Ling Cod Park, where you can marvel at marine life and passing boats navigating the swift currents. This is one of the best spots on the island to enjoy a spectacular sunset. A 10-minute drive or 45 minute walk to the other side of the island is Link Beach--Mudge's largest shoreline--ideal for swimming, kayaking or paddleboarding (rentals available). Complete this perfect day with a sunset dinner at the beach, and have a hot meal delivered right to you just when you have worked up a hunger from a fun day of activities. Guest access You will have use of the entire trailer and the surrounding outdoor picnic area. There is a big, bright, and clean outhouse for nature calls (the RV toilet is for urinating only). Other things to note The terrain on Mudge Island is rough and uneven in a lot of areas, which lends to the rustic beauty of Mudge being untouched by commercial development. There are no stores or commercial services on Mudge. Everything you need for your stay must be brought here yourself (or make prior arrangements with Jia for meals, etc). Guests should be in good physical condition, fit and mobile, to fully enjoy nature's playground on Mudge. HOW TO GET HERE: Leave the logistics to us--we will plan out the easiest and most cost effective way for you to arrive on Mudge Island. If coming from the Lower Mainland, leave your vehicle behind and hop on as a foot passenger. We will pick you up at any of the ferry terminals, then guide you on a scenic paddle to Mudge Island by canoe, followed by a short drive to your retreat. A nominal fee of $80 for this transfer service that includes a fun paddling adventure to Mudge! Please ask about transportation at the time of booking.
