The space Verandah Cottage is a spacious, thoughtfully designed multigenerational retreat, perfect for 7 adults + 2 children, with an additional cot available. Across three bright floors, you’ll find elegant coastal styling, luxury mattresses and pure cotton linens to ensure restorative comfort for every guest. On the first floor, the Master Bedroom features a king bed, en-suite with shower and loo, and a private balcony that welcomes the morning sun. A second king bedroom enjoys peaceful sea views, while the third bedroom offers a comfortable double bed. This floor also includes a separate power shower room and an additional loo — ideal for families preparing for beach days. The top floor offers sea glimpses, a full family bathroom with bath and shower, and two further bedrooms: one with cosy bunk beds, and one with a single bed plus cot. On the ground floor, the large family kitchen and dining space is the heart of the home — fully equipped with modern appliances, a large fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, Nespresso machine, and a generous supply of cookware, bakeware, glassware and crockery, making it ideal for holiday feasts and celebrations. The ample dining area invites relaxed breakfasts, long dinners and shared memories. Next door, the living room is a warm, sociable space with a smart TV, books and games for all ages — centred around a cosy wood-burning stove for chilly coastal evenings. Outdoors, enjoy a sunny front garden for morning coffees, and a low-maintenance rear garden with Astro-turf, a large dining table with chairs and benches and a parasol for summer shade. An outdoor shower, sink and external loo make sandy beach returns effortless — rinse and go. Families are wonderfully catered for, with toys, books, games and child-friendly tableware, plus a highchair and Jumperoo available on request. A travel cot can be provided for use on the first floor (please bring sheets). Private parking for two cars is provided — a valuable bonus so close to the beach. And with Seagrove Bay just a short stroll away, everything is perfectly placed for stylish, comfortable coastal living at its best. Guest access Guests have exclusive use of the entire cottage during their stay — including all bedrooms, bathrooms, the living room, the fully equipped kitchen and dining area, and both front and rear private gardens. You’ll also have full access to the outdoor shower, outdoor loo, and private parking for two cars on the driveway. The home is entirely yours to enjoy from the moment you arrive. Other things to note We are delighted to offer guests exclusive ferry discounts, including complimentary Priority Boarding on Wightlink bookings made in 2025* (subject to availability) — ideal for a smooth and stress-free arrival on the island. Please request details before booking your ferry. We welcome one well-behaved dog by prior arrangement only. To keep the cottage pristine for all guests, dogs must remain downstairs. An additional cleaning charge will apply if this policy is not followed. The cottage spans three floors, so there are stairs throughout. The log burner is perfect for winter stays (starter logs supplied). High-speed WiFi, towels and pure cotton luxury bed linens are provided for your comfort. A travel cot, highchair and Jumperoo are available on request — please let us know ahead of arrival. There is private parking for two cars, an outdoor shower and loo for sandy feet, and plenty of toys and games for younger guests. Check-in is self-check-in via key box, but if you prefer, I can happily meet you on arrival. Just let me know what suits you. Neighbourhood Seaview and Seagrove Bay are among the most loved coastal spots on the north-eastern Isle of Wight, overlooking the sparkling Solent. The area is known for its Edwardian charm, elegant coastal homes and beautiful sandy beaches — all just a short journey from the mainland via ferry or hovercraft into nearby Ryde (around 10–15 minutes away). Seagrove Bay is your nearest beach — just a 2-minute stroll from the cottage — offering calm, shallow waters perfect for swimming, paddleboarding and family days by the sea. Wander a little further to discover Priory Bay, a breathtaking, white-sand beach reachable at lower tide. Seaview village, a lovely 5–10 minute walk, offers a friendly seafront pub, cafés, restaurants, a community shop, gallery, pharmacy and charming independent boutiques. Coastal walks in both directions reward you with far-reaching views and ever-changing seascapes — look out for No Man’s Land Fort just offshore. Getting around Ferries operated by Wightlink and Red Funnel connect the island to Portsmouth and Southampton, with fast-cats and the hovercraft arriving into Ryde for foot passengers. The island’s Southern Vectis bus network and reliable taxi services make car-free exploration easy — though you have private parking for two cars if driving.
