A peaceful, self-contained modern spacious apartment on the edge of the Tyne Valley village of Stocksfield near Hadrian's Wall in the stunning Northumbrian countryside. Surrounded by a tree and wildlife filled garden, you will feel part of the countryside. It is the perfect space to relax, walk or cycle, or work on that book you've always promised yourself you'd write. Alternatively, the village train station will take you to the heart of both Newcastle or historic city of Carlisle. The space THE SPACE Lynwood is based on an open-plan kitchen, living, and dining area, with a separate double bedroom and bathroom, both off a hallway. When you awake after a comfortable night's sleep, you can look out over the garden from the comfort of the bed. A comfortable double sized bed-sofa in the sitting room, is available if required for an additional person(s) – please request sheets and duvet. The bathroom is clean and light with a WC, basin, bath, and over-bath shower. We provide towels and toiletries. The kitchen has a fridge-freezer, induction hob, microwave, air fryer, dishwasher, and washer-dryer. Cycles can be stored under cover outside the apartment. Complementary tea and a L'OR Barista Coffee Machine are available for guests. Jam and marmalade are provided. Hotel-standard hand soap, shampoo, and body wash are provided, as well as washing-up accessories, dishwasher tablets, washing machine tablets, toilet rolls, and kitchen rolls. There should be enough to last your stay, but should you need more, please ask. Please note that there are some steps up to the property. CHILDREN AND INFANTS Children of all ages are very welcome at Lynwood. However, this is entirely at the parents' discretion, given the apartment's proximity to farmers' fields, wildlife, a large, well-stocked garden, and steps up to the house. CHECK-IN/OUT TIMES Check-in time is after 3 pm and check-out time is 11 am. Early check-in or late check-out can be arranged but only by prior agreement and at an additional charge of £30 for each to allow for the disruption to our cleaning/linen schedule. Guest access Lynwood has been completely refurbished with completion in 2024. Guests have private access to the apartment. The apartment sits at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac populated by detached houses, surrounded by magnificent gardens. Off-street parking is provided for one car. If you need two parking spaces, please ask. Please note that there are several steps up to the house. Also note, the hedges that surround the garden have gaps in some parts, so please take extra care when bringing dogs. Other things to note The surrounding garden has lots of wildlife; a neighbour has Red Kites nesting in her garden, and owls are often heard and sometimes seen in our trees, where squirrels play amongst their branches. Pheasants are regular visitors in spring and autumn, and the occasional deer can be seen in the fields. Foxes come out at night, and often wander through the garden. Occasionally a badger pops out, but this is quite rare. The apartment has access to the large garden, which has outdoor seating on a patio. The sitting room has a large bi-fold door that opens onto the patio, where you can sit and relax. Stocksfield has a train station and is on a regular bus route. The village has a petrol station, a small shop, and a chemist. Hexham is a 20-minute drive or short train ride. Corbridge is 15 minutes by car or train. Newcastle is 30 minutes by car or train. Carlisle is around 40 minutes by train and 50 minutes by car. USB sockets by the bed. Central heating.
