The space The apartment is a stone-built property from the early 1800s. From the entrance hall you ascend up the 1st flight of stairs where you will find a kitchen diner, living room and 1st bathroom. The bedrooms and 2nd bathroom are situated up a second flight of stairs. It has been furnished in an airy, elegant townhouse style. The living room boasts high ceilings with original Georgian coving, ceiling rose and a stylish alcove with panelled walls and a large sash window surrounded by original panelling and deep architrave, allowing in plenty of natural light. The room has been beautifully furnished and accessorised to help create a harmonious comfort whilst on your stay. The kitchen has tongue and groove panelled walls, with shaker cupboards and a larder, equipped with everything you will need. There is a dining room table and chairs whereby the adjacent wall is decorated with a large map of the Lake District so you can peruse your next adventure whilst enjoying your lovely home cooked meal or having a glass or two of your favourite tipple. The property has two beautifully styled bedrooms, both panelled with bed side wall lights, individually controlled. Each room has a wardrobe, mirror, dressing table and chair. The double beds are dressed in beautiful white linen sheets. There are 2 bathrooms both with good size showers, towels will be provided. The main bathroom has a luxurious bath, perfect for relaxing after those long days on the fells. The apartment has central heating throughout. The apartment also benefits from a charming wooden balcony with comfy seating, ideal for those warm summer evenings when the night is too early to end. Please note, BBQ’s and fires are not permitted. An L2 fire system has been installed. Parking There is plenty of free street parking within the town, alternatively, there are two car parks within less than a minute walk. The surrounding areas Kirkby Lonsdale is nestled between the Yorkshire Dales, the Lake District and the Forest of Bowland making it an ideal location for walking, cycling, golfing, shopping or simply relaxing. The town boasts numerous historical attractions including the 14th century Devil’s Bridge, the 11th century St. Mary’s Church and a 13th-century Market Charter where a market day is held every Thursday. The area is also known for ‘Ruskin’s View’, painted by the artist, JMW Turner. Getting around Everything you need is on your doorstep but if you want to travel further without having to drive you will find a bus stop straight across the road from the apartment.
