This is due to safety and health standards associated with active food production. ⛔️ Guests have access to all spaces in the home except for two storage areas: the mirrored closet behind the dining table & the housekeeping closet in the bathroom. 🧼 A small cleaning & supply caddy for guest use is in the cabinet under the kitchen sink. ⛑️ Household supplies like batteries, light bulbs, first aid kit, and a flashlight can be found in the drawers on the carport side of the kitchen. You’re welcome to use any of the larger housekeeping tools on the right side. The supplies on the left side are designated for professional housekeeping purposes. 📚BOOKSHELVES The floating bookcase in the dining area is stocked with some favorite books on farm, garden, & health topics. When you’re finished taking a look at the books, please return them to their original place. A few games are also stored on the lower shelves for our younger & young at heart visitors’ enjoyment. 🪴THE GARDEN Check on our progress as we revive the original 2018 permaculture design which currently includes 2 rain barrels, bird feeders, 35 blueberry bushes, fruit trees, brambles, Ga natives, butterfly habitats, and raised beds which contain permanent & seasonal produce including asparagus, chives, mint, thyme, Jerusalem artichokes, sweet potatoes, seasonal bulbs, kale, and more… You’re welcome to take a look in the greenhouse where cold sensitive plants overwinter and propagation projects take place throughout the seasons.
