The Hen House
The Hen House
Description
This 26 foot long tiny home has all you need for a cozy trip away whether it be for business or pleasure. There is a full kitchen with a gas range, coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator/freezer. The fridge will be stocked with a half dozen of our very own eggs! There is a smart tv located in the living area with a small dining table as well. The loft hosts a queen size bed perfect for two. The bathroom has a full-sized shower and tub. There is air conditioning and heat via a mini-split. The space Our property boasts 2.5 acres of land. The Hen House is located at the rear of our property. One side of the home faces open farmland that occasionally has cows and baby calves. The other side has a view of our "girls" - otherwise known as our hens. And one side of the home faces our main house. We do currently live on the property as well, so you may see us out and about, but we are very respectful of your privacy (unless you need something from us of course.) The tiny home is approximately 100 feet from the main house. Guest access We use a keyless entry for access into the home. Other things to note We are centrally located between many local/semi-local attractions: 15 minutes to Pinchot Park, 20 minutes to Ski Roundtop, 25 minutes to downtown York City, 35 minutes to Gettysburg, 40 minutes to most Harrisburg locations, and 50 minutes to Hersheypark. Side Note #1: Please be aware that the loft has steep steps. The loft area could also potentially be a fall hazard, so any children and/or unstable adults should be closely monitored. Side Note #2: Just a FYI for those of you choosing to stay during the months of January or February...Since this is a tiny home, it is sometimes hard to keep water lines from freezing. All exterior water lines are wrapped in heat tape, but the water lines that go into the walls are hard to maintain at times (only in temperature regularly below 20 degrees.) We may ask you to use additional safe space heaters, ask you to keep sink cabinet doors open, and/or keep the faucets on a slow trickle. These measures have been shown to help save our water lines, but we realize this is something extra to ask of our guests. So it's just something to be aware of.
