The Marsh River Retreat

Beautiful secluded cabin hidden in the woods on the banks of the portage river; eagles, swans, ducks, & deer are frequently seen. Views of sunrises and sunsets over the river, beach area with fire pit, gas grill & charcoal grill available. Bring kayaks to enjoy the river or rent them a short distance away across the river at the Portage River Paddling Company. Only 3 miles from historic downtown Port Clinton, visit the lighthouse, shops, and restaurants. The space Cabin built in 2017 sits on 30 acres, driveway is a 1 mile long stone drive, in heavy rains expected vehicle to get a little mud on the tires. But the views are spectacular, large marsh with wild life, corn field with deer, mature woods are among the drive back to the cabin that sits on the river. Does not get any more secluded while being close to St. rte 2. Port Clinton, Catawba, Marblehead, Fremont, Sandusky. Guest access Entire cabin, along with walking the property and fishing or kayaking in the river, must bring own kayaks and fishing poles. Other things to note One bedroom is upstairs, other bed is a fold out couch in the main room downstairs, bath is downstairs. Large attached garage for a vehicle or nice if it’s raining or very hot days.
