Cariad room en suite with use of outdoor hot tub

The hamlet of Dyffryn is a hidden jewel in the lush green countryside of the Vale of Glamorgan, 11 miles from the centre of Cardiff. The Cariad room has beautiful views and EN SUITE bathroom with a "wow factor". Guests have use of the hot tub and dressing gowns are provided The space Yr Hen Felin, The Old Mill, was a flour mill that served Dyffryn House, a stunning stately home recently acquired by the National Trust. Two acres of cottage garden provide a space for relaxation and sketching. The garden boasts many seating areas, a secret garden, a bridge over the river, a wishing well, a two hundred year old oak tree with surrounding seat, wild flowers, a colonnade of rose arches, an extensive vegetable patch, hens, ducks and bees and sheep and alpacas in the paddocks. Yr Hen Felin is a traditional Welsh longhouse and lies in an East West axis. There are two sheltered patios for serving meals on sunny days. One is South East facing for breakfasts and the other South west facing for midday and evening meals. Rozanne loves entertaining and cooking and on request can provide meals or barbecues. I am happy to cook an evening meal £25-30 per person, a meal of your choice, also happy to cook vegetarian or vegan. Please bring your own alcohol, there is no corkage fee. are £25-30 per head. The rooms have every amenity and all have stunning views. Each room has a flat screen TV, a DVD, wired and wireless internet, an iPad/iPhone port, a hairdryer, a Tassimo coffee machine, a safe large enough for a laptop, an iron and dressing gowns. In addition there is a microwave and a mini fridge in the bedroom. Guests have use of the hot tub overlooking the river. Guest access guests have access to the two downstairs reception rooms. These include a vaulted room with a central fireplace opening to a dining area on one side and a sitting area on the other and french doors onto the garden. This room is beautiful all year round, but very cosy on a winter's day, and even more magical at Christmas with a 12 ft Christmas tree, traditional Christmas decorations, many of which are homemade. The second reception room, the heart of the house, is a traditional open plan kitchen, dining area and sitting room with a log burning fire and french doors onto the south west facing patio. We also host cider making days, corporate days, functions and weddings. Guests have use of the hot tub and dressing gowns are provided. During your stay Breakfasts are no longer served, but guests have a coffee pod machine, a kettle, fridge and microwave in the room. Rozanne loves entertaining and cooking, but is very aware that people often need their own space to relax. Other things to note Bedrooms have free wifi, flat screen TVs, DVDs, iPhone ports, dressing gowns, wall safes, hair dryers, Tassimo coffee machines and irons This is a non smoking household. You may smoke outside. We have dogs and cats, but they are only allowed in the open plan traditional living room. They are not allowed in the bedrooms or the vaulted reception room. I host cider making days in October, normally twenty people work together, scratting the apples and pressing the juice, as well as preparing a traditional Sunday roast dinner with our own lamb and vegetables. The charge is £45 per person and guests leave with a flagon of juice and yeast with instructions on how to finish their cider at home. The cider is ready to be bottled just before Christmas. We will be starting art courses in near future. We also cater for corporate days.
