The space SURROUNDS Located just 2-minutes from Route 169, ranked among the nation's "Top 10 Most Scenic Routes." The town of Woodstock is part of "Connecticut's Quiet Corner" and the "Last Green Valley." This part of the state is known for it's pristine farmland, rolling hills, fall foliage and gorgeous peaceful countryside. Fairlane Farm, a gracious, preserved antique with scenic farmland, anchors the neighborhood. 103 Center Cemetery Road abuts the farm's fields. Although the area is serene and breathtaking, there is much to see and do! Please see my complete list of suggested recommendations in "Other Details to Note" below. INSIDE The In-Law Suite has a separate entry off the back courtyard. Your east-facing Suite features fresh paint, new wall-to-wall plush carpeting & Serena & Lily furnishings. Living Room with paneled, gas fireplace, coat closet plus double door access to the full-width three-season porch. Kitchenette with oven, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, refrigerator, plenty of cabinetry. You'll find the Kitchen stocked with fresh local coffee, milk and eggs. Bedroom with double closet and two windows. One overlooks a lilac tree, and the other looks out onto the Porch and lawn beyond. The plush, queen-sized adjustable bed offers Egyptian cotton sheets and Serena and Lily bedding. Bathroom with large, tiled shower, handicap bars, linen closet, mirrored vanity and WC. The 20' x 9' screened Porch offers the perfect area to read, relax and take in the grounds and country setting. Screens change out for glass panels during the winter. All windows have easy-to-operate blinds and the Bedroom itself has "black-out" blinds. The space is exceptionally quiet with 2"x6" construction and modern insulation. There are 3 steps up to the porch and 1 step into the suite. The unit is wheel-chair accessible inside the unit. OUTSIDE You'll want to spend as much time outside as inside at this relaxing retreat. The lawn is cut weekly in season (May - October) usually on a Thursday morning. Swimming Pool. The salt-water, gunite pool is open May 1st - Oct 1st. Teak chaise-lounges and benches with umbrellas for you to relax in comfort. Patio The spacious bluestone patio offers inviting seating areas as well as high-end weathered teak tables and chairs for dining al fresco. Seasonal perennial gardens, featuring hydrangea, roses & honeysuckle, edge the patio. Large "market" umbrellas provide shade. A firepit on the patio with cut wood on the front porch and along the driveway at your disposal. Lawn At the far end of the Porch, you'll find lawn games along with lawn blankets, a picnic basket and yoga mats. Basketball court Not completely even, but a great way to work up a sweat none the less! Basketball is on your Porch. Bicycles The shed (with light switch to the left) is an ideal place to store your bikes.) Guest access Your private Suite includes Bedroom, Living Room, Bathroom, Closets, Kitchen and 20' screened Porch. The outdoor spaces, including bluestone Patio, swimming pool and basketball court, are shared with the main home. Easy, abundant parking and a large shed for storing bicycles.
