A cozy space with direct access to forest trails. The ocean, wineries, and a farm market - all within a 10-15 minute walk. Brentwood and Shawnigan Lake schools are a 5-10 minute drive. The space The guest suite has its own exterior private access. There is plenty of parking on site. Guests have access to the large yard, deck, and fire pit. There is also a natural gas BBQ on the covered front deck that can be used upon request. There is Crown land with forest trails at the back of the property's meadow - through a gate. A short 10-15 minute walk brings you to a public trail and beach access to the ocean. Guest access Guest can use the natural gas BBQ, back deck, garden and meadow to access the forest trails. During your stay The homeowner is on site and accessible if guests require assistance. There are two dogs on site but kept within a secure, fenced yard. The guest private access is outside of the secure yard. If guests do intend to use the forest trails, their access is through the fenced dog yard. Other things to note The Victoria International Airport is across the Saanich Inlet from the property. As such, airplanes do occasionally fly overhead but are not typically heard from within the home unless a window is open. The suite is attached to our home. When the it was constructed, Sonopan Soundproofing panels were installed behind its walls and behind its ceilings. While it doesn’t soundproof 100%, it does significantly reduce noise exchange between the house and the suite. We also do our best to be quiet when guests are visiting. Be aware that we have two dogs. They are fenced and do not have access to the floor where the suite is located, nor where the exterior entrance is for the suite.
