Bag End : An unexpected journey

Are you all about peace, quiet, and above all, nature? Welcome to Bag End ! Nestled in the heart of the lush landscapes of Cantal, not far from the medieval town of Saint-Flour, this modern and unique little hideaway, which could very well be located in Middle-earth, will suit you for sure. Bag End welcomes you into its cocoon made of wood and stone. At an altitude over 1000 meters, it offers a comforting warmth in winter and a refreshing coolness during the hottest summers. The space Bordering our farmhouse, come relax in this lovely modern cocoon where you will find everything you need for your stay : a fully equipped kitchen for delicious meals, a private bathroom, a cozy living room where you can embark on cinematic adventures with Netflix or Prime Video, a large bed, an additional bed if needed, high-speed internet... You will also have access to the Sauna for a wonderful relaxing time. Please just let us know at least a couple hours before your session so that we make it ready, nice and warm for you ! For timeless chill, let yourself be lulled in the hanging net. Unleash your inner child with the numerous board games available. Don’t hesitate to knock if you need more players! 😍 But the experience doesn’t end there. Day or night, enjoy the outdoors in our small garden lounge equipped with a fire pit. The whispers of nature and the songs of birds will carry you throughout your stay. Our personal record is spotting 16 shooting stars in an hour at dusk. See if you can beat it! Take a walk, admire the surrounding mountains, breathe in the fresh air, greet our cow friends. It’s the perfect place to take your time and escape the city for a sweet break. The activities here are varied and numerous: hiking, skiing (in winter of course), rail biking, swimming, guided tours, water activities (in summer, of course), local tasting for all palates, Village fests, and more. If by chance you miss the city, the highway will be your best ally (St Flour: 5 min, Clermont-Ferrand: 50 min). Finally, keep in mind that our little paradise is rooted in the countryside. The scents of pastures and barking dogs are part of the rustic charm of our environment. We look forward to offering you a timeless getaway. Guest access The cottage is very easily accessible from wherever you are coming. It is only a 2 minute drive from exit 27 of the A75 highway or a 15 minute walk. We can even pick you up if you are dropped off nearby. Once your reservation is made, you will receive precise directions to the exact location of the lodging, suitable for both GPS users and map enthusiasts. Upon arrival, follow the various signs, go down along the house to find yourself in front of the façade, walk up to the spa. Then, in front of the spa, take the wooden stairs that will lead you to your front door.
