Furnished Bell Tent on Farm

Furnished bell tent situated on a working livestock farm under the magnificent Ashford Hangers near Petersfield. The tent has a king size bed complete with bedding and linen and 2 camping single beds are available (please bring your own bedding for these) Relax in the beautiful Hampshire countryside with a fire pit. Flushing toilets and hot shower available nearby. Plates, glasses and cutlery provided along with a supply of wood for the fire pit. Ideally located for walks or exploring. The space Our bell tent is located at the top of one of our fields on our working farm on the border of the Ashford Hangers (woods) Enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Hampshire countryside (although you will hear some of our farmyard animals/birds in the distance!) The 5 metre tent has a king size bed with duvet and pillows and we can provide two single camp beds for extra guests (but please bring your own bedding for these) We provide plates, bowls, cutlery, mugs, glasses, a kettle, frying pan and water container and outside you will find a fire pit and chairs. We provide you with an initial supply of firewood and further supplies can be purchased. In the farmyard we have a converted container with toilet, basin and a gas heated shower. In one of our barns you can access a sink if you need to wash utensils. We are ideally placed if you like walking - The Ashford Hangers provide some great walks including the views from the Poet's Stone (named for the war poet, Edward Thomas) We are a 5 minute drive from the market town of Petersfield where you will find cafes, restaurants, shops and supermarkets, as well as the lake and playground (if travelling with children) We are also ideally placed for visits to Portsmouth, Chichester, Winchester and Paulton's Park (approx 50 mins drive) and the National Trust properties at Uppark, Hinton Ampner and Petworth. If the weather is fine you can drive right up to the tent. If it's very wet we may have to ask you to park in the farmyard. If you would like to meet the farm animals we are very happy to show you around. Guest access You will have sole use of the field. The toilet/shower block is shared with one other camper van pitch. We are around the farm during the day but live off site at night but are always available at the end of the phone! We do ask that you do not enter the farmyard itself unless we are there to accompany you due to livestock and tractor movements. We are very happy to show you around by appointment. Other things to note Please bring a strong torch with you. The tent is located at the top of our field and the toilet block is approx 100 metres away. We are a working farm and you will hear animal/bird (cows, turkeys, geese and chicken) noises at a distance but we hope that these are part of the charm of the countryside! We do ask that you observe quiet hours of 10 pm to 7 am and that no loud music is played at any time. Because of our livestock we are unable to accept dogs. We provide an initial supply of firewood for the fire pit. If you would like further supplies (or any of our frozen sausages or bacon produced from our own home bred pigs) just let us know. In wet weather we do ask that you park in the farmyard rather than by the tent itself (this is about 100 metres away) Please wash any plates/cutlery etc after use. For your own safety, because of movements of tractors and animals, please do not enter the farmyard unaccompanied.
