Cosy wooden cabin near Stockholm

Welcome to our well-planed cosy guesthouse. The cabin comfortably hosts two, but has space for up to four guests. Just a 5-minute walk away, you’ll find a lake with a BBQ area, dock, and a sandy beach. Getting to Stockholm is easy: park at Södertälje Syd station (12-minute drive), then hop on a 20-minute train to the city centre. Good to know: with the colder seasons coming in, even though there is a portable heater it might get chilly! The space The cabin is located in a peaceful neighbourhood which is generally quiet, but we want to note that kids do live in the area. The cabin is 20m2. It is well-planned and comfortably hosts two people for a longer stay, but has space for up to 4 guests. PLEASE TAKE INTO ACCOUNT WHEN SAYING WITH 3 OR 4: As mentioned above, it is a small cabin, you will have all you need but it will be cosy. we have a small sofabed for 2 pers (120cm wide). This small sofa bed is ok for one person, a couple or two kids. The boiler is fairly small, even though we only had one stay with 4 persons where they were out of warm water, we do want to point this out. GETTING THERE BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT The easiest way to get there is to travel to Södertälje Syd, Södertälje Centrum or Södertälje Hamn station. An Uber from there costs around 150 SEK one way. There is public transport, but the connections are bad and you will have to walk 2km from the bus station. LINNEN INCLUDED: ✓ Bathtowel ✓ Kitchentowel ✓ Guest towel ✓ Bed linnen HEATING/COOLING: The cabin is made of wood, so its temperature tends to follow the weather, warmer in summer and cooler in colder months. For chilly nights, there’s a heater in the bathroom and a portable heater available. But during very cold nights it might still be chilly. In the summer, it can get warm during the day, but we provide a fan to help keep things comfortable. Fortunately, Swedish summer nights tend to cool down naturally, so you will likely have a comfortable sleep, even on hot days! KITCHEN: The kitchen is small, but has everything you need to make a tasty breakfast, lunch or dinner! ✓ 1-pit stove ✓ French press for coffee ✓ Kettle ✓ Coffee / Tea ✓ Small fridge with freezer section ✓ Glasses, mugs ✓ Silverware ✓ Pots and pans ✓ Sink hot/warm water ✓ Pepper, salt, sugar and frying oil You can request a BBQ if you want. LIVING / DINING The cosy cabin offers ✓ Dining table that folds out for 4 pers. ✓ Sofa that folds out into a small 2 pers. bed of 120 cm. We would recommend it for couples, one person or two kids. We provide a mattress topper so it will be comfortable ✓ TV with Chromecast ✓ Games and books ✓ CD-player + many CDs to get nostalgic :). To turn it on, put the switch on the right side of the player on CD. ✓ WiFi BATHROOM ✓ Shower with hot water (relatively small boiler, so with over 2 persons staying, you might have to wait a bit in between showers to still have warm water :) ✓ Toilet ✓ Sink ✓ Bodysoap ✓ Shampoo ✓ Conditioner ✓ Deodorant ✓ Period products We do not own a tumble dryer so they might be a little stiff from time to time, so just a heads up! SLEEPING AREA / WORK SPACE ✓ Bunkbed (196cm length, 80cm width) ✓ Desk ✓ Office chair ✓ Extra blankets ✓ Small (120 cm wide) 2 pers. sleeping sofa in the main area, we have a matress topper to make it more comfy! Works one person, a couple or two kids. OUTSIDE AREA There is a small veranda outside on which you can enjoy the sun in the afternoon. You can request using a BBQ if you like, just send us a message and we'll put it out for you. ♥PETS♥ We love pets (we have a cat ourselves, Meesje) and they are very welcome to join you on your stay! Please take some extra time to clean to make sure all new guests will have the same experience as you. We do ask you to make sure that your pet does not damage anything. If this does happen we will kindly ask to pay the damage to us. Floor and furniture care: Guests are responsible for any scratches or damage to the wooden flooring or furniture. We recommend ensuring nails are trimmed and paws are wiped dry before entering. On-leash in garden: We have a cat and local wildlife nearby. For everyone's safety, dogs must remain on a leash at all times when in the garden or outdoor common areas. Furniture & bedding: Pets are not permitted on the beds or sofa. Please bring your own dog bed/blankets for your pups to settle on. Guest access Our little guest house lies close to our main house. You can park your car in front of the gate on the gravel and walk past the main house. There you will find the little cabin. Other things to note Good to know: - The kitchen sink is not connected to sewage water (bathroom sink is), but will be disposed of on the ground under the cabin. We have special dishwasher soap without chemicals you can use for your dishes. Please be mindful to not flush anything chemical through the kitchen drain but use the bathroom drain. - Only dispose of toiletpaper in the toilet. There is a small bin in the bathroom you can use for any other sanitary products. - This is a summer cabin. Even though there is a heater in the bathroom and a portable heater for you to use, it can get a bit chilly on cold nights. - WIFI password is: welcome2024 - We have a cat, Meesje. She is a little shy but can be curious. Feel free to shoo her away in case you don't want her company. In case anything breaks, we might ask you for a reimbursement.
