Sunrise House

Enjoy a relaxing stay in homey and rustic Sunrise House on Lamborn Mesa near downtown Paonia. Breathtaking mountain views from dining and great rooms. Watch the deer go by or have fun with a game of mini ping pong. Enjoy some quiet moments in our artistic treehouse gazebo. This is a much-loved family vacation home, so you will see some of our things, but there is plenty of room. The space "Sunrise" is where you will be staying. It is the main house on the property. There is an RV, as well as a unique tiny geometric house close by where the owners (or another guest) might be staying. We have a large lawn and several garden beds next to the house, where the owners might be working. But the greatest attraction is the spectacular view of Mount Lamborn - far better than the view from within the town of Paonia. Yet, the town is only one mile down the hill. Other things to note We do not have air conditioning. However, during the hot days of summer, if you put down the (fancy, insulating) shades during the middle of the day, then it will stay cool inside - rarely getting above 75 degrees even if it is in the 90's outside. Then at night, you open the shades and windows, and a gentle breeze cools the house down to 65 degrees, or cooler. Please ensure you stay within the boundaries of our property, as our neighbor does like people trespassing on his land. Also, the lower part of the bunk bed is quite small - suitable for a child (age 10 or younger). If you need this bed for an adult, you can move the mattress onto the floor.
