Forest Hill Garden Getaway

Take it easy at this tranquil getaway in historic 1898 Victorian on corner lot overlooking huge backyard just a block off of Forest Hill Avenue. 105 acre Forest Hill Park is just 3 blocks away and a must-see for nature lovers (and a great spot for a jog). Easy access to the James River, Downtown Richmond, Carytown, and the Fan. Walk to breweries, restaurants, and coffee shops. The space The spacious room for rent is located on the 2nd level of the home, accessed by a private narrow staircase via a rear entrance, providing more privacy for our guests than you might normally expect. With 12 windows in the room overlooking the gardens and backyard, there is no shortage of natural light should you desire it, but privacy shades are also installed. The room features a queen bed (Wink Mattress), antique dresser, small table, and desk with chair all over original oak hardwood flooring. Guests have full access to a brand new dedicated thermostat for heating and cooling to your comfort. A hot water kettle and organic tea selection is provided. Excellent coffee shops are also within walking distance. The expansive private full bath, located just down the private staircase on the 1st floor, features granite countertops, tiled shower, and tiled floor. Please note: the bath is accessed by passing through a pantry area that we seldom use while guests are here. During your stay We like to welcome guests and say hello if possible, but a self check in is also very doable especially if we are not here. We love spending time outside with our three active children and you’re welcome to enjoy the beauty of the woodsy neighborhood with us should you choose. Other things to note Only hypoallergenic/natural cleaners and detergents are used in the home. For those with mobility issues or with very large pieces of luggage, please note the narrow staircase leading to the room (as seen in the pictures).
