We provide 100% organic cotton sheets, crisp white cotton bedding and hypoallergenic pillows and duvets. All bedding is OEKO-TEX certified for no harmful chemicals. The lounge area has a velvet covered sofa which converts into a comfortable double bed with memory foam mattress. There’s a Smart TV with Netflix and NowTV entertainment packages, Bluetooth stereo speakers, a nest of oak tables, shoe rack, floor lamp, electric heater and coat hooks for your convenience. There are also local guide books, maps, family games and children's books in the drawer of the TV unit to enjoy! To keep cosy we have a brand new eco-certified wood burner, complete with kindling, eco-logs and fire accessories. Due to the proximity of the sofa bed the fire must not be used when the sofa bed is down. If you are a party of four then please ensure you put the sofa bed up. Please note this is available from October to March. There is a convenient Marks and Spencer store at the garage, near the pub, open 24/7. ‘Wayfield Park Farm Shop and Cafe’ is a 10/15 minute walk and offers great breakfasts, lunches, tea and cake. The Forge itself dates to the 16th Century and is famous for the Pyecombe Hook, a unique shepherds crook (featured in Wikipedia!). Opposite is the historic 12th century Church of The Transfiguration with its unique Tapsel Gate, directly across the South Downs Way from our gate. From the bedroom and lounge/dining area you can view the church with its beautiful trees and hear the horses trotting by! Guest access Access is via the driveway through the long black gate, opposite the Church gate. Just pull it open (it is not electric) but please close after you as our dog likes to wander! The Stables are opposite the house next to the garage with a key safe for self check-in. There is off street parking for one car and EV charging on request. Other things to note The Stables are non smoking and non vaping. If you wish to smoke please leave the property and go outside the black drive gates. Unfortunately we don’t accept pets.
