Description
Relax in this charming vintage bungalow on Canandaigua Lake. Perfect for a carefree vacation or family gathering. Sip coffee by the lake, enjoy the water, relax, read, grill your favorite foods, and watch stunning sunsets. Fine dining options in Canandaigua, Geneva, & Naples. Enjoy easy access to Finger Lakes attractions-wine trails, distilleries, breweries, restaurants, galleries, along with opportunities to fish, boat, and hike. Minutes from the CMAC Performing Arts Center and Wegmans The space This cottage has been enjoyed by four generations, starting in 1939 when our grandad (one of Rochester’s first travel agents in the 1930s) bought the lot and built the cottage. The cottage has a unique 1950s vintage wall map of U.S. and Global airline routes. There are two small bedrooms, a larger great room/living/dining area with two pull out couches for sleeping, as well as two extra fold up mattresses to accommodate guests. A cozy kitchen with an apartment size electric stove, full size refrigerator/freezer is fully equipped with pots, pans, utensils, and dish ware. The eat in kitchen provides the basic necessities for prepping meals. The bathroom has a vintage stall shower with great water pressure. Towels, toilet paper, Kleenex are all provided, as well as bed linens and kitchen towels. There is a gas grill in the back (lakeside is the front!) right off the kitchen. Propane tanks are provided, as well as grilling utensils. Our lot is only 35 feet wide, but it’s deep and goes all the way back to the county road (East Lake Rd). Please stay within our lot lines, both in the back and in the front, by the lake. Use only the strip of lawn (to the right of the cottage as you look at the lake) to go from front to back. Bring your kayaks or rent one up on Lakeshore Dr at Canandaigua Sailboard. Please don’t tie anything larger than a canoe or kayak to the dock. Water shoes are a must due to the sharp zebra mussel shells in the lake. Guest access You have full use of the entire cottage, lakefront and back lot, which is used for parking, badminton, soccer, light recreation orpitching a tent. Other things to note The cottage is minutes away from downtown Canandaigua, Wegmans, CMAC, Breweries, Cideries, Wineries, boat, kayak and SUP rentals. Many places in the Finger Lakes can be explored from your home base at Cove Content.
