Description
Step into stillness in this thoughtfully designed tiny cabin, surrounded by towering 600-year-old Redwoods and art. A private forest trail leads to a stream and small waterfall — an ideal place to pause, reflect, or simply listen. Just minutes from the Pacific coastline, Albion Cove and the town of Mendocino, this space invites you to slow down and reconnect with nature’s rhythm. Thoughtfully built by a sculptor–builder, this retreat blends nature, privacy, and intention in every detail. The space This is not your average cabin. Every beam, every shelf, every curve has been thoughtfully crafted by the owner, an artist-builder. The result? A space that feels intentional, grounding, and one-of-a-kind. From skylights that flood the home with forest-filtered light to handcrafted finishes throughout, it’s a space that invites inspiration and stillness. * Living room * Framed by tall glass doors and warmed by a wood-burning stove, this open-concept living room is the soul of the house. Skylights above invite the light in, while sliding doors open to the trees beyond. * Kitchen * Fully equipped and beautifully designed, the kitchen features handmade cabinetry, open shelving, and all the essentials—plus a bar-top counter perfect for sipping wine while dinner simmers. * Bedroom 1 * Built under a curved cedar ceiling and a round window that glows with forest light, this room feels almost sacred. A queen bed, soft linens, and warm wood create a space for deep sleep and gentle mornings. * Bedroom 2 (Loft) * Open to the energy of the house below, this loft bedroom is peaceful and light-filled. A quiet perch above the treetops—ideal for journaling, dreaming, or simply being. * Bathroom * Earthy and elemental. The indoor bathroom features a walk-in tiled shower, handmade touches, and a surprising sense of calm. Step outside and discover the outdoor shower: nestled in cedar, kissed by sky. It's more than a rinse—it’s a reset. Please note that bathroom is located in the cabin. Guest access You’ll have full, private access to the cabin and outdoor shower. The owners live in a separate home on the property and respect your space completely while remaining available if needed. With their permission, you're welcome to explore the Sculpture Garden and walk the forest trail down to the stream and seasonal waterfall. Other things to note The cabin uses fresh, tested well water—clean, safe, and delicious to drink. Outside, you’ll find a new propane BBQ with an extra burner for cooking with a pot or pan, along with a peaceful seating area for outdoor meals. A picnic area amongst the redwoods is also available with a fire pit and seating area.
