Cozy getaway with SPA in nature

The home in Stankovany is located between the two national parks Malá Fatra and Veľká Fatra. It is a home away from home, offering a cozy space with fully equipped kitchen. After your hikes and day trips you can relax in the sauna or take a hot bath. Enjoy the nature right outside your door step! The space Located around 450 meters above sea level at the end of the road, at the end of the village, the accommodation is ready to offer you a home away from home, including mini Spa and views of surrounding mountains. It invites you to discover the mountain peaks of Šip and Podšip as well as the water reservation Močiar (don’t forget to bring bathing suits, towels, and bottles to take some mineral water back with you). Those highlights are in close proximity of the self-catering accomodation with the hiking trails starting right behind the house (easy to moderate hiking levels). Chances are you will meet James who may be seeking your attention. Don’t you be worried though! He is our friendly ginger cat who lives his happy and independent life outside, around the house and in the basement. Accessible via his cat flap, he finds his bed, food and water which is taken care of. After being acquainted he will most probably be asking for cuddles. If you don’t want to interact with him at all that’s totally fine, just ignore him and he won’t bother you. If you however are up for some cuddling outside he will appreciate it and purr a lot. PLEASE do not let him inside the house though and PLEASE do not feed him - you don’t want to be responsible for him getting fat ;-) . If you want to bring a dog you are welcome to do so, as long as he or she doesn’t go hunting the cat. A little tour: The accommodation is the perfect place for you to take a break from everyday life and spend some time in close contact with nature in spectacular locations. It has all the typical amenities of a home and more, as it offers an infrared sauna and a huge bath tub too. As you walk in, you’ll enter the hall, with space to leave your shoes and coats. At ground level you’ll also find the living room, a balcony, the open kitchen and the main bathroom. In the living space there is a couch, which can conveniently be converted into a bed sleeping two people, a 65 inch Smart TV with sound system. If you love movies, we got you covered! With a DVD Player and plenty DVDs to choose from you will find yourself in the perfect spot for many movie nights. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you’ll need to cook your own delicious meals, including fridge&freezer, built-in oven, induction cooking hob, kitchen machine and a portafilter espresso machine. Just bring your groceries! The bathroom offers a bath tub for two, a toilet, a sink, a shower and an infrared sauna (for two)! It’s your little SPA to relax in at your own convenience. As you climb up the stairs to the upper level of the home you’ll find a terrace, the two sleeping rooms and another bathroom. In each of the sleeping rooms you’ll find a double bed and your space to keep your clothes and belongings. The master bedroom even comes with its own television and home entertainment system: a soundbar and a blue-ray player (plus some blue-ray discs as well!). The upstairs bathroom is basic but welcoming with a toilet and sink. The entire home provides you with WiFi and all rooms are equipped with floor heating. Also, there are two recuperation systems, one in the main bathroom and one in the living room, providing you with a comfortable room climate at your convenience. The village of Stankovany got its own train station and it is just a 10-15 min foot walk away from the accommodation. You can easily reach the destinations mentioned above via train, sometimes even quicker than by car (and cheap too). Nearby there are two small grocery shops in the village, another one (which offers a slightly bigger selection) is located in Ľubochňa. However, if you prefer the really big stores you’ll find Tesco’s, Kaufland, Billa or Lidl in Ružomberok. Guest access You are welcome to use the private garden around the house. Other things to note Please note that there is two cats on site. One is our friendly ginger cat and the second cat lives at the neighbours’ and is taken care of as well.
