You’ll have plenty to enjoy at this historic place in a picturesque setting. Looking across towards the moors of the Peak District, this open plan two bedroom cottage is spacious, light and airy. With exposed beams and stonework retaining much of the original character of the original barn. From the cottage entrance you enter a spacious kitchen, a few steps leads down through to a large sitting room with the feature of an open staircase and galleried landing. With exposed beams and stonework retaining much of the original character, together with modern conveniences such as underfloor heating, this cottage is truly a home from home. From the cottage entrance you enter a large kitchen, which is fully equipped, includes dishwasher, microwave, oven/hob. A large dining table provides the perfect place to all dine together. Through the kitchen, there is a small utility with washing machine adjacent to a downstairs wet room with powerful shower. A few steps leads down through to a large sitting room with the feature of an open staircase and galleried landing. The views from the four windows in this room are outstanding, it is the most perfect place to relax on the comfy armchairs and sofa. Complimentary wifi, an Ipod dock, flat screen televisions in the sitting room and bedrooms all add to this cottage's outstanding facilities. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, one double - king size bed and one twin - two single beds, all with luxury feather bedding and 100% cotton bed linen. Plenty of storage space is provided with oak wardrobes and chest of drawers'. The double bedroom has the added feature of opening out onto an external staircase, a feature of the original 17th century building. Upstairs, there is also a large bathroom with shower over bath, with luxury toiletries and big white fluffy towels. Parking for this cottage is parallel to this property. The cottage opens on to the parking area, the garden area is easily accessible to the back or the front of this property with plenty of seating areas to choose from as well as large meadow area. Guest access The well kept gardens are extensive, they surround the cottages and various seating areas provide the perfect place to unwind on warmer days. The landscaped gardens take advantage of our elevated position and enjoy stunning views, which constantly evolve throughout the year. A large meadow adjacent to the gardens provides an additional incredible space. Set in the gardens, the barbeque house is idyllic, wooden with a central fire pit it’s an extremely fun way to cook in the evening. There are two options to booking this, you can either chose a serviced option for £55, this includes firelighters, charcoal, us lighting it for you, all crockery and cutlery and cleaning it afterwards, or you can choose a DIY option for £25. For the DIY option please do provide your own charcoal and firelighters. To guarantee the availability of your preferred choice of evening, please let us know prior to your stay if you would like to book it for one of the evenings you are here. It can be paid for on arrival. Set in an idyllic spot with far reaching views, on the edge of our meadow area, sits the outdoor Arctic Spa hot tub. Relaxing in a temperature of 39° with powerful jets of water providing the ultimate of massages it doesn't get much better than this - take time out to relax in our hot tub during the day or under the stars of the amazing clear night skies we enjoy here. Just to complete the relaxing vibe of the hot tub, it sits in a secluded patio area with a corner wicker garden sofa and a dome shaped pod with the comfiest of cushions, take a break to recline, unwind and just enjoy being surrounded by nature. The tennis court and hot tub can be booked whilst here. Shared between all four properties, we have a really easy booking system for the hot tub with plenty of slots available to book every day between 9am and 10.30pm. You simply write your cottage name next to your chosen slot to reserve. Please do bring your own towels for the hot tub. Other things to note Take advantage of our on site day spa whilst staying. Our facilities include steam rooms, saunas, foot spas, aromatherapy room, tropical experience shower and a Rasul mud room as well as a sumptuously designed quiet room to relax in. Outside we have a decking area with stunning views, outdoor furniture, swinging pods and an outdoor hot tub. We have three exquisitely designed treatment rooms (one of them a double treatment room) to experience the wonders of VOYA and the unique collection of facials/ scrubs and massages. Our spa provides a haven in which to enjoy incredible facilities set within stunning countryside to energise the soul. This facility must be pre booked to guarantee availability.
