The space With sweeping Caribbean Sea views, our Upper Apartment is your perfect island retreat—whether you're here to unwind, explore, or work remotely. Designed with comfort and charm in mind, this bright, breezy space blends modern amenities with the laid-back spirit of Bequia. The open-plan living area invites you to relax and recharge. Sink into the cozy daybed, flip through curated vintage books on the Caribbean, or enjoy a game night with our collection of board games and puzzles. Adorned with unique local artwork, the space reflects Bequia’s vibrant charm. A fully equipped kitchen and charcoal BBQ make it easy to prepare your favourite meals, with the choice to dine indoors or al fresco. The suite features 2 bedrooms and 2 washrooms for added comfort. One bedroom has two single beds that can easily convert into a King with a plush 4” gel & copper-infused topper, while the other features a cozy double bed overlooking the ravine and our fruit trees—perfect for waking up to peaceful, tropical views. For remote workers, we’ve got the ideal setup: an ergonomic office chair and monitor to help you stay productive while surrounded by island beauty. The wrap-around balcony is the apartment’s crown jewel, offering stunning Caribbean Sea views. Sip your morning coffee as tropical birds like bananaquits, zenaida doves, and mockingbirds provide a natural soundtrack. Hummingbirds often visit the banana plants for their morning feast. In the evening, unwind to the gentle chorus of crickets or enjoy a cozy movie night with our hidden 72" projector. Keep an eye out for Barrington, our friendly red-footed tortoise and beloved fruit peel composter—mango and banana are his favourites! Your stay includes complimentary Trader Joe’s coffee, tea, soap, and eco-friendly cleaning products. You’ll also find a few of our favourite local beverages, bottled water, and a special treat: guava jelly handmade by Junie—Noel’s Aunt and a beloved local legend. It’s a sweet taste of Bequia to enjoy during your stay or take home as a souvenir. For added convenience, optional concierge services (available for an additional fee) include pre-arrival fridge stocking and assistance with booking tours or private charters to discover Bequia’s hidden gems. Plus, we provide pickleball paddles and snorkeling gear, so you’re always ready for adventure—whether it’s on the court or beneath the waves. Whether you’re here to explore, work remotely, or simply unwind, The Pink House blends modern comfort with island charm for an unforgettable getaway. Note: For larger groups, both the upper and lower apartments can be rented together, accommodating up to 8 guests. Mosquito nets are available for all bedrooms, though with screened windows and burglar bars, you can comfortably enjoy the fresh island breeze. Guest access Guests have private access to the entire upper apartment, which includes two bedrooms, bathrooms, an open kitchen, a living area, and a wrap-around balcony—perfect for soaking in the Caribbean breeze. Shared spaces like the garden and entryway are accessible to all guests of The Pink House, offering a communal vibe while still maintaining your privacy. Other things to note Important Considerations Perched on a hillside with breathtaking views, The Pink House is accessed via a short, steep path—ideal for adventurers but may be challenging for guests with mobility concerns. We embrace island living with open-air spaces and cooling sea breezes. Ceiling fans are provided in all main rooms, with added pedestal fans in both bedrooms to keep you comfortable. Expect the soothing sounds of nature mixed with the occasional rhythms of local music—adding to the authentic island atmosphere. Infrastructure & Connectivity We use UK 3-pin plugs (220V). Adaptors are available if needed. To support sustainability, we kindly ask guests to conserve electricity by turning off lights, appliances, and the switches beside each socket when not in use. Each apartment includes at least 2 transformers and power bars, perfect for devices like coffee makers, blenders, laptops, and hairdryers. Wi-Fi is reliable for everyday needs, though occasional Caribbean power outages may occur. We provide candles and flashlights just in case. Getting Around Public transport is readily available (and super fun!) around the island—expect to pay around 2 XCD each way. We also recommend renting a scooter or using local taxis for easy access to beaches and attractions. Eco-Friendly Practices We use solar power to heat our water and aim to keep things as natural as possible. We’re committed to sustainability by supporting the island’s recycling program, encouraging guests to be mindful of waste, and promoting the use of reef-friendly sunscreens to help protect Bequia’s vibrant marine life. Your small efforts help us preserve the natural beauty of the island for future generations. Air Conditioning All bedrooms are equipped with split ductless air conditioning to keep things cool and comfortable. We are currently working toward our goal of making these units fully solar powered as part of our commitment to sustainability. To help keep our prices accessible and to be kind to the planet, we ask that you use the A/C mindfully: • Turn it off when you're not in the bedroom • Keep windows closed when the A/C is running Thank you for helping us stay cool and eco conscious. Pet-Friendly Policy We warmly welcome pets for an additional fee.
