The Hamilton Inn was built in 1826 by William Roadknight, a pardoned convict who became the town's Constable, Mill owner and Postmaster. The building retains its original 1820's charm, The Hamilton Inn is the perfect place to spend the night and enjoy the country hospitality of your host and esteemed chef Doug Kings. Please note our rooms are not wheel chair friendly. Try our local Wines, Whiskey, Gin and our cold local craft beers @1826 Bar & Bistro We also have a inhouse café Aunty v’s. The space This room has a queen size bed and ensuite, The building retains its original 1820's charm, 2026 will mark its 200 birthday. The accommodation is located on the first and second floors. The 4 rooms located on the second floor have slanted ceilings, incorporating modern facilities and communications. Unfortunately, the rooms are not wheelchair friendly. Room 1 is located on the First floor. Other things to note Hamilton Is a small town, located in the Central Highlands. Unfortunately, there is no supermarket or petrol station with unleaded fuel in Hamiliton. The closest facilities for supermarket and fuel is New Norfolk or Ouse. (please check their opening hours) 1826 Bar and Bistro offers country hospitality, cold Beers & Wines. Dive into a rich Dining experience that truly celebrates the essence of our local tastes.
