Laneway Shack

Walking distance to town beaches, jetty, hotel, sports club, golf course, skate park, foreshore, cafes, museums and main shopping precinct. The Laneway Shack easily accommodates 4 people in queen bed and singles, with 1 bathroom and toilet, retro kitchen, outdoor patio, laundry and parking area for a boat, kayak or quiver of boards. Plus, it has ramp access. Just an easy 10 minute drive on sealed road to closest boat ramp or surf beach, or a stroll down the lane to a swimming beach. The space Laneway shack includes: 1st bedroom: Queen bamboo blend and linen bedding on Australian lambswool quilt and underlay. Ample storage to suit short stays. 2nd bedroom: 2 x Single beds with reading light, 2 x retro armchairs, drawers, record collection, WiFi connected Smart TV with record player and mid-century styling. Bamboo and linen bedding will arrive in summer 2025 to make these beds eco-friendly and also more lux. Dining/Kitchen: 4 person dining setting with retro storage and styling including a gas oven with hot plates, kettle, microwave and ample cookware, 4 person ceramic crockery, stainless cutlery, mugs, glasses and serving boards. Kitchen essentials are often in the cupboards including tea, coffee, long-life milk and oils. A TV with Vast satellite system and WiFi service is also part of this room. Laundry/Back Entrance: 6kg washing machine, storage, cleaning supplies and equipment, plus fridge / freezer. Outdoors: BBQ, 2 person cafe table and chairs, 3 x bar stools around a restored Barossa wine barrel, bench and 2 outdoor chairs, lemon and mandarin trees, herb and vegetable patch (seasonal), plus private washing line. Recycle bin is available. 2025 Winter renovations include a pergola to create a shaded patio. We take pride in the cleanliness and comfort of Laneway Shack. We have solar power, local recycling, use linen and bamboo bedding and store rain water to help our 10 x 11m shack to be environmentally sustainable. Guests are welcome to source from the seasonal vegetable patch to help decrease environmental impact too. A large lounge suite is not part of our place, however the retro armchairs are in place for you to lounge around in, with easy access to records and a TV if you need some indoor down time. Board games and books are also included in the cupboards of the shack. Lastly, a guestbook is available to all visitors. This includes vital communication, local numbers, attractions, eateries and shack information. Guest access The entire 10 x 11m shack, plus driveway is available to use. Access to a shed and fish cleaning table can be negotiated.
