At the same time, the imprint of Rabindranath Tagore is unmissable. Srirangam’s offer is not of opulence and luxury. We aspire to minimize our carbon footprint; the experience we provide therefore is about mindfulness; of moderation; and of being ecologically sensitive and responsive, while ensuring comfort, coziness, and conviviality. Srirangam is installed with Fenesta windows that provide for 80% sound insulation from outside noise. Once inside, you are therefore assured of quietude. The in-door flooring is of the traditional Athangudi-technique hand-made cement tiles (by Bharat Flooring, Mumbai), and it is best experienced barefoot. To ensure a pleasant and safe stay, please take note of the following house-rules and guidelines: 1. Minimum Stay & Timings: o Minimum two-night bookings apply on weekends and festive seasons. o Check-in: 12:00 PM | Check-out: 10:00 AM. Early arrivals or late departures? We’re happy to store your luggage, and you can relax in our common living area. 2. Safety First: o Srirangam is designed with safety features like railings and reinforced balconies. However, we kindly request guests to exercise caution around balconies, stairs, and water features. o Families with children under 12 are advised to consider the property's safety constraints before booking. o Fire extinguishers are accessible, and we’ll provide a safety briefing during check-in. 3. Room Keys & Valuables: o Kindly leave your room keys with our Homestay Manager when stepping out. o Please secure valuables in your suitcase, as we do not provide room lockers. 4. Parking & Driver Facilities: o Limited parking and driver accommodation are available on a first-come basis, with additional charges. Nearby paid options are also available. 5. Dining & Snacks: o Meals are to be enjoyed in the common area only, to preserve the clean and cozy ambiance of bedrooms. o Complimentary tea and coffee are available; we request our guests to kindly wash your mugs after use. 6. Eco-Friendly Practices: o Toiletries are provided in reusable containers, and we request guests to minimize plastic waste. o We request our guests to conserve resources by switching off lights, fans, and ACs when not in use. Towels are refreshed every two days, but daily changes are available on request. 7. Respectful Conduct: o Safeguarding: At Srirangam, we maintain a zero-tolerance policy for any forms of harassment, bullying, discrimination or inappropriate behavior. Strict action will be taken against our staff, suppliers and vendors found violating this policy. Similarly, guests violating this policy will be asked to checkout. o The Srirangam team is here to assist our guests, and we encourage our guests to share any concerns politely for prompt resolution. For any safeguarding-related concerns, guests are requested to contact the owners, Mrs. Ananya Banerjee Sengupta or Mr. Shumon Sengupta, directly. All complaints will be treated as a priority. 8. Collective Etiquette: o While we strive for excellence, we appreciate your understanding of the unique homestay experience. o We kindly request our guests to uphold the aesthetics and collective etiquette of the property by dressing appropriately, especially in common areas. To maintain a respectful environment for all, we ask that undergarment-style shorts, vests or similar clothing, be avoided in common areas. o Privacy & Noise: We request our guests to kindly respect the privacy of fellow guests in shared spaces. Group bookings are welcome, but please avoid turning the homestay into a party zone. o Books are available for your enjoyment; please return them after use. o Kindly use the rooftop terrace for drying laundry; we solicit your support in maintaining the charm of our property by not tampering with décor or littering. 9. Smoking & Alcohol: o Srirangam is a non-smoking zone, with a designated smoking terrace available. o We kindly request that you refrain from smoking in the bathrooms. If you must, please request an ashtray in your bathroom, for proper disposal of cigarette butts. Kindly do not dispose anything in the WCs other than toilet paper. o Alcohol may be consumed discreetly. Prohibited substances are strictly forbidden. 10. Garden & Nature: o Enjoy our small tropical garden but kindly refrain from plucking flowers or damaging plants. 11. Pets: o Regrettably, pets are not allowed due to space constraints. 12. Ethical Business Practice and Transparent Pricing: o Tariffs include breakfast for two and taxes, and remain consistent throughout the year. Discounts are available for longer term stay. o Bookings initiated through online marketplace platforms such as Airbnb will be finalized via the same. o At Srirangam, we uphold ethical and responsible business practices, with a focus on transparency, accountability, and fair pricing.
