Peace Retreat

Forget your worries in this spacious and serene 2-story cabin located 5 miles outside the Village of Cloudcroft. Peaceful with beautiful views and elk herds in the early cool mornings & evenings on the back deck & covered front porch. This home has 2 king beds, 1 queen bed, and 2 twin beds perfect for families or groups of friends. Furnished kitchen, laundry room, office space, and living room with a cozy wood-burning stove. NO SMOKING/NO PETS/ The space Peace Retreat is the perfect place to escape the heat and humidity in the summer or to cozy up by the fire with a good book in the winter and watch the snow fall. Sit on the porch and enjoy an amazing sunrise or sunset view while the elk and horses roam freely. There is parking for vehicles in the driveway. During winter months, we highly recommend 4WD/AWD to get safely around the mountain roads. We are not responsible for you getting stuck or your arrival . We don’t know when it will snow so be prepared. The Peace Retreat is three minutes from Ski Cloudcroft where they offer skiing and tubing in the winter and fun, summer tubing with great pizza from Memorial Day to Labor Day. If you are coming in the fall or spring, Cloudcroft offers many hiking trails with amazing views & beautiful scenery. Please be ADVISED: We HIGHLY RECOMMEND purchasing the Airono travel insurance. It costs next to nothing and covers unexpected cancellations of any kind. We do not issue refunds for cancellations. PURCHASE THE AIRBNB TRAVEL INSURANCE for refunds. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire 4 bedroom/2 bath home, fully fenced front and back yards, front porch with seating, and back multi-level deck with outdoor tables and chairs for outdoor dining and relaxation. Other things to note THE HOUSE IS NOT CHILDPROOF. Parents are fully responsible for the supervision of their children. Hazardous areas: fireplace, stairs, and low deck railings. No baby gates or plug covers, etc. Please reach out to us if you plan on bringing a trailer. There is limited parking space for them as there is only driveway parking. Any damage (ruts, hitting posts, etc...) will be billed to the guest.
