This 1,850 sqft home sits on half an acre, surrounded by 200 acres of wooded preserve, and features two available bedrooms (one king bed, one queen bed), two full baths, a large fully-stocked kitchen and open-concept living room with river views, and a lower-level family room with a fireplace, comfortable and stylish office, books and games galore. This place has everything you need to settle in and recharge. Step outside the kitchen to a large deck with river views, rocking chairs, and a dining area waiting for you to enjoy. Head down to the front yard and enjoy direct access to the river. Two adult kayaks, one youth kayak, one canoe, and one paddle board are available for guests to use. Enjoy the amazing views, serene landscape, and opportunity to reconnect to the natural world. Bring your bikes, skates, fishing poles, hiking shoes, and more, and come enjoy a peaceful get-away. Contact free check-in by keypad. BEDROOMS This home has two bedrooms open to guests, one with a king-size bed and master bathroom, and the other with a queen bed (available upon request). BATHROOMS The master bath has a walk-in shower, and the other bathroom in the home has a tub/shower. LAUNDRY There is a washer and dryer in the lower level if needed. KITCHEN/DINING/LIVING ROOM The home features a large kitchen and open-floor concept living and dining room with river views. The Kitchen comes complete with an electric oven/range, dishwasher, toaster oven, air fryer, Stainless Steel Fridge/Freezer, and fully stocked for cooking and dining, including: pots, pans, dishes, silverware, knives, utensils, baking sheets, salt, pepper, cooking spices, oil, casserole dishes, coffee maker, waffle maker, NutriBullet, and more. The kitchen also features a breakfast bar. The kitchen opens to the deck with a beautiful view of the woods, and a wood pellet grill for making your home-cooked meals. ROADS/TRAFFIC The home is built into the river hills along a quiet, no-outlet road. Traffic is at a minimum where only locals who live nearby use this road, so it's a safe place for young families who might enjoy walks, biking, skateboarding, or skating. PARKING There is a parking pad with multiple parking spots, as well as available parking alongside the house near the mailbox. Guests are asked not to use the driveway during winter, or any near-freezing temperatures, to ensure the safety of all guests. There is no garage access as this is used for storage. NEARBY While there is plenty to keep you busy at home, there are some great nearby restaurants, bars, and food delivery available in the area. The John Wright Restaurant is a host favorite! QUIRKS Driveway: It’s a very steep driveway up the hill (20 degree pitch!)! Think: San Francisco. Parking is available in the lower level. If you have AWD, there is parking available during warm-weather seasons in front of the garage, and also at the top of the driveway, with easy access to the kitchen and main level. Cat: A most lovely rescue cat from Sayulita, Mexico named Emory lives here part-time with the host! If you are a lover of cats and would like our resident kitty to keep you company during your stay, please message the host and we’ll arrange it, hassle free (We have a self-cleaning litter box and electronic feeder). She is a total love bug. Guest access There are several rooms in the home that will be locked for host storage.
