You will be close to everything Hobart has to offer when you stay at this centrally located home. It is warm, light-filled and comfortable, with glorious views over the Derwent River and kunanyi (Mt Wellington). You will have fast internet, several streaming services to watch, a workstation, indoor-outdoor living spaces, a well-equipped kitchen, and lots of art and books to enjoy. The home is quiet and private, with off-road parking and easy access to public transport and the beach. The space Welcome to my beautiful, light-filled, comfortable home in the beachside suburb of Bellerive. You will have your private room and will share the rest of the house and garden with me. I work full time and have lots on outside work activities, so you will have the house to yourself a lot of the time. The combined dining and living rooms open up onto a sheltered patio to one side, and to a large deck with views over the river and mountain on the other. At the front of the house, there is a large, covered balcony that also has views all the way down the river. You have a choice of bedrooms. Upstairs, the bedroom has lovely views, over the garden and down the river. It is quiet and comfortable. There is additional bedding available, and a choice of pillows. This room has a double bed. You have a large built-in wardrobe with lots of space for your clothes. In this room, you also have a sit-stand desk with double screens for your use, and fast, unlimited internet access. The alternative bedroom is downstairs, has its own entrance, and is accessed via an external pathway (please note there is no internal access to the third bedroom). This bedroom is very large with a queen-sized bed, living space, additional seating, and an adjacent outdoor area with table and chairs. It is well heated and also has plenty of storage space for your clothes. This room also has block out blinds and additional bedding and pillows available. The house has heating throughout, including in your bedroom, and reverse cycle air conditioning. The kitchen is well-equipped, and you are welcome to use condiments from the pantry. The views from the kitchen window are magnificent. There is a front-loader washing machine in the laundry with washing liquid provided, iron and ironing board. Bellerive is a 6-minute drive from the centre of Hobart, and there is off road parking at the rear of the house. There is plenty of public transport available, with both bus and ferry services within a 10-minute walk. Bellerive beach is a 5-minute walk away. It is a lovely, safe beach, beautiful for walking at any time of year, and for swimming year-round for those not minding the cool Tasmanian water. There are well-designed walk and cycle tracks alongside the beach with beautiful walks around the river that go on forever in both directions - take your pick! One way will lead you onto the next beach in Howrah, and the other will take you through Bellerive village, around the yacht club, through parklands and to the bridge that leads to the city. Guest access You will have access to the whole house, with the exception of my bedroom which is private. If you are travelling with a young child, there is a third bedroom with a cot and single bed. These are available for you on request. During your stay I will meet you on arrival, and you can contact me on my mobile at any time during your stay. My adult son lives very close by, and he can attend to any issues that arise if I am unavailable.
