The space The Hill House is an ongoing labor of love—a hand-built farmhouse we’ve been restoring to celebrate its "perfectly imperfect" history. We’ve kept the finishes intentionally raw and rustic to preserve its character: you’ll find bare brick chimneys, original painted wood floors, and stairs that proudly show their layers of time. The Layout: Enter through a spacious mudroom with laundry and a powder room. The open-concept main floor features a chef’s kitchen and a living area designed entirely around the ocean view. Sleeping: Upstairs, discover three private bedrooms with queen beds and stargazing skylights. A fourth room serves as a cozy den with a pull-out couch and a privacy curtain. Unique Features: Soak in the original clawfoot tub (with shower) or head out back for a refreshing rinse in the outdoor shower after a salty swim. Other things to note Outdoor Adventure: Located right on the Cabot Trail, you are steps away from the best hiking and biking in Cape Breton Highlands National Park. The Beach: A 10-minute walk across the road leads to a secluded beach. It’s so quiet you’ll often see more seals than people. Local Flavor: Walk up the road to The Clucking Hen for famous baked goods.
