The space Lumina is a large, modern beach house located on East Coast Road (ECR), Chennai. Offering plenty of space and comfort, it's ideal for couples seeking privacy, families needing room to spread out, or groups of friends looking for a relaxing stay near the beach. BEDROOMS & SLEEPING (UP TO 24 GUESTS) There are four large bedrooms. Each has a king-sized bed and its own attached bathroom, providing ample private space regardless of your group size. Two of the bedrooms (first and second floors) have balconies with views towards the pool and the sea. While offering generous room for fewer guests, extra floor mattresses and rollaway beds can be added in the rooms, allowing the house to accommodate up to 24 people in total if needed for larger gatherings. LIVING AREA & KITCHEN The ground floor is a big open area with the living room, dining space, and kitchen all connected. It's a great central space for everyone to hang out, feeling spacious even when hosting more guests. The kitchen has the basics needed for cooking meals during your stay. OUTSIDE SPACE & BEACH ACCESS You get a large private swimming pool all to yourselves, which guests often enjoy. There's also an outdoor shower and a separate bathroom near the pool. Parking for up to 8 cars is available inside the compound walls, and there's usually space along the road too. The beach is easy to get to – just a short walk down the road. SMALL GATHERINGS The open ground floor and outdoor area make Lumina suitable for small day-gatherings or family functions. The house can handle extra day guests beyond the 24 sleeping overnight for these kinds of events. Just let us know what you have in mind. OTHER DETAILS WiFi is included, and there's full power backup so you don't have to worry about outages. A caretaker lives on the property in separate quarters near the entrance. He can help with immediate needs while respecting your privacy. The house has plenty of lighting options to make it look nice after dark (this inspired the name Lumina!). NEARBY Lumina serves as a great base to explore ECR. The historic shore temples of Mahabalipuram are a convenient drive away, and Kovalam beach, known for surfing, is also nearby. Plenty of restaurants and cafes line the main road for dining options. Guest access Guests will have private and exclusive access to the main Lumina Beach Villa property during their stay. This includes all four bedrooms, attached bathrooms, the large open-plan area containing the living room, dining space, and the main guest kitchen facilities. Access also includes the private swimming pool with its adjacent outdoor shower/bathroom, and the parking area and lawn space within the compound. The entire villa space described above (excluding specifically designated service or staff areas) is yours to enjoy privately. Beach access is a short walk down the road leading directly to the shore. Please note, a caretaker resides in separate quarters near the entrance on the premises. They are available for assistance while respecting your privacy. Other things to note Please take note of the following details for a smooth stay: Noise Levels: While Lumina offers good privacy, we request guests help maintain a peaceful atmosphere by keeping noise at reasonable levels, particularly outdoors after 10 PM. Events Policy: Hosting small gatherings or events requires prior discussion and agreement with us before booking. Specific rules and potential additional charges may apply depending on the nature of the event. ID Requirement: In line with local regulations, valid government-issued photo identification is required upon check-in. Security Cameras: For your safety and security, CCTV cameras monitor the external areas of the property, including the entrance, parking area, and compound perimeter. There are absolutely no cameras inside the villa or in private outdoor areas like the pool. Power Backup: The villa is equipped with full power backup that supports all appliances, including ACs and water heaters. Should a power cut occur (which can happen in the area), please allow the caretaker a few minutes to manually start the generator. We also request considerate use of high-load appliances like ACs during extended periods on backup power. Property Care: We appreciate guests treating Lumina with respect and care during their stay.
