Casa di Montagna is a newly renovated 2,657 sqft 4 bedroom 2.5 bathroom house near Cannon Mountain in Franconia, NH next to Franconia State Park. A fabulous open concept timber frame home with real rustic charm, the perfect place for a family reunion or for a vacation with friends. The house sleeps 12 and has plenty of space for cooking, dining and just hanging out after spending a great day hiking on the surrounding beautiful mountains, mountain biking, swimming in the lake or playing golf. NOTE: We allow a maximum of 6 adults and 6 children. There is no way for us to make that distinction in the listing, so we are listing it here. Unfortunately we will have to cancel listings made for more than 6 adults without some prior communication allowing for an exception. The house is great for 2 families or so, but just not so great for 12 adults. Thank you for your understanding. NOTE: YOU MUST BE 25 YEARS OLD OR OLDER TO BOOK. Enter into a slate foyer open to living room with large brick fireplace with a rough pine mantel. The cathedral ceilings open to the heights of barn board and loft area. The kitchen is great for cooking with a restaurant grade stove, granite and butcher block countertops, built in pantry and is open to the dining room & living room area. Also on the first floor are 2 bedrooms (Red and Blue Rooms) with queen/king beds & a full bath. Upstairs is a large master suite (1 king bed) with built in closets, dressers and enormous bathroom along with a sitting/office space. The walk out basement has a very large kid’s room with 3 twin beds, each with a pull out trundle. There is also a half bath downstairs for them. This space features a large TV and lots of space to play! The yard is full of beautiful flowers and plants and has a nice patio to relax or hang out while grilling. New for Summer 2021: new stainless fridge with icemaker, new mattresses in bedrooms upstairs. Blue room went from a queen to a king sized bed. Added another outdoor table and chairs so now two places to sit outside depending on sun/shade/temperatures. We have the fastest Wifi available, but it's not blazing fast. It is listed at 8 MBPS but usually performs at 6 or 7 MBPS. For most people, one person can remote work in a Zoom meeting, but not several. Several guests have had success hotspotting their phone. Just be aware. Several guests have loved not being on electronic devices and instead playing games and talking to each other. Imagine that! NO PARTIES ALLOWED! IF YOU PARTY IN A WAY THAT IT BOTHERS NEIGHBORS OR LEAVE THE HOUSE IN SUCH A STATE THAT IT LOOKS THERE WAS A PARTY YOU WILL LOSE YOUR ENTIRE SECURITY DEPOSIT. Just out the door you'll have one of the most delightful walks on Wells Rd. which is a designated scenic byway and the house is just a mile or so from Franconia Village. Parliamo Italiano.
