Strait to Forest is located on a 10 acre silvaculture property on Washington’s Olympic Peninsula, about 14 miles west of Port Angeles. S2F is itself a young forest, having been replanted in 2022 with 3000 Douglas Fir and Western Red Cedar. Snuggled up against the Department of Natural Resources mature forest, and perched at sufficient elevation, for a lovely view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca, Victoria and Vancouver Island. Enough room for the whole family! The space Construction of two adjacent homes was completed in July 2024. Inspired by regular sightings of the distinctive submarine tender ships Eagleview and Arrowhead on the Strait, we named our new buildings in honor of them. Eagleview can accommodate 6 guests. It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, large open living/dining room, spacious kitchen and covered patio with a fire table and grill. A full hook up RV site is an add on available to Eagleview guests. In mid October we anticipate a new amenity: a hot tub at Eagleview. Arrowhead best suits 2 guests but can accommodate up to 4. It has one bedroom and one bathroom, full kitchen and living room. Arrowhead’s living room sofa couch converts to a queen bed. Arrowhead has a covered car port with a grill and an adjacent outdoor smokeless fire pit. S’Mores, anyone? We provide all basic necessities to make you feel at home including but not limited to: - Full kitchen with essentials including coffee, tea, creamer, salt, pepper, and cooking oil. - Towels and linens. - Shampoo, conditioner & body wash -Wood Fired Hot tub - WIFI - TV - Games, puzzles and books - Ample additional parking is available for trailered boats. Fishermen, that trophy awaits you in the Strait! More about the location: The Olympic Peninsula is outdoors at its best and Port Angeles is a hidden gem. No matter the weather or season you visit, you are sure to find yourself on an adventure! S2F is located in the middle of it all, a convenient 15 minute drive to downtown Port Angeles and the Blackball ferry MV Coho to Victoria, BC, a doable day trip. Remember your passport! Just 10 minutes down the road is one of the area’s best kept secrets: Freshwater Bay County Park, with a boat ramp and wide sandy beach when the tide is out. Fish, kayak, explore the tide pools, splash in the Strait (dogs love it!) and look for eagles, herons and river otters. Guest access Guests have access to everything besides crawl spaces, garage and locked cabinets. Make yourself at home :) Other things to note If you love to travel with your dog (no other animals permitted), we charge $50 per dog as a fee for hosting your furry friend. If there are additional cleaning fees incurred during your stay related to your dog, you will be charged accordingly. Did you plan an excursion that excludes your pup? Doggie Daycare can be arranged in advance. Doggie Day Care is a special service available upon request and is not included in the rental fee. Availability cannot be guaranteed and the cost may vary depending on the number and type of dogs. Please request Day Care at the time of booking to help us plan accordingly. Note: All dogs and owners will be met in person prior to final approval. For your pet’s comfort and safety, dogs may be cared for either on-site or at our home, with plenty of walks, attention, and care.Dogs will be crated when not actively supervised. Special needs can be accommodated—just let us know! We are happy to grant a late checkout, however, guests will be charged for late check out if not communicated. Check out time is 11am unless otherwise arranged with the host... the charge is $25 per 30 minute increments. Thank you for being respectful of the hosts and cleaners time.
