Tor Hatch Cottage is a delightful retreat in the heart of the Surrey Hills, perfect for families or small groups. Nestled in breathtaking countryside, but within easy reach of London, our cozy cottage is the perfect place to kick back and unwind. With an open-plan living area, sun-drenched conservatory, private garden and two comfortable bedrooms, we hope you’ll feel like the cottage is a home from home. The space As you step into Tor Hatch Cottage, you’ll immediately appreciate its sense of space. The open-plan kitchen and living area seamlessly flows into a bright conservatory with dining table to seat four. The kitchen has ample counter space and is well equipped with an oven and hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle and the all-important Nespresso machine, cafetiere and milk frother. A washing machine, tumble dryer and additional fridge-freezer are also available for guests to use. Whether you’re basking in the sunlight or enjoying a movie night in front of the wood-burning stove, every corner of this cottage invites relaxation. The property is full of intriguing artwork and vibrant furnishings, showcasing our passion for design and creating a sense of warmth and character throughout. The living area is perfect for watching TV in front of a roaring fire, relaxing after a day's exploring, or just switching off and listening to music through the Sonos system, perhaps with a glass of wine. The two double bedrooms are both on the ground floor and are comfortably furnished, with plenty of space to unpack your bags. The bathroom features a waterfall shower, so wash away your cares and prepare for a restful night’s sleep beneath crisp white linen sheets. Guests often mention the exceptional comfort of the beds, with their thick toppers. The conservatory opens onto a small, secluded garden, with a seating area. Make the most of this private space by enjoying an al fresco breakfast or firing up the charcoal BBQ for an evening under the stars. Although just over an hour from London, Tor Hatch Cottage is set within beautiful countryside. Lovely walks, cycle paths, and charming pubs are close at hand. If you’re in the mood for some sport, access to the outdoor pool and tennis court can be arranged on request. Please note that the pool and tennis court are only available when the main house is not let separately to guests. As you wander through its picturesque streets, you'll be captivated by the pretty River Tillingbourne, the village’s many thatched cottages and its 12th century church. The village centre is a treasure trove of quaint shops, inviting cafes, and traditional pubs, and even boasts an AA two-rosette restaurant. Shere is in the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Whether you’re exploring the area’s many walking trails or cycle paths, the countryside here is nothing short of spectacular. Afterwards, relax with a drink or bite to eat at the White Horse, a traditional pub with timber beams.
