Woodpecker Cottage @ Naveen's Glen, Sattal

Woodpecker is a two bedroom independent cottage at Naveen’s Glen - an estate in Suriya Gaon, Sattal with holiday homes & independent rooms. We also have a 3bhk Villa & 5 rooms that can be booked individually. Our in-house cafe serves delicious multi cuisine fixed menu meals made by the host. We are walking distance from the Sattal lake and there are plenty of hiking/birding trails in the vicinity. All cars reach the property & there is no walking required to get here. The space Woodpecker is a two bedroom pet friendly cottage at Naveen's Glen. It is a 5 minute walk or a 1 minute drive from the cafe, where we serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. We can also serve meals at the cottage itself. Our Cafe is called Babs cafe in the woods. We make Indian, Continental, Italian, Pan Asian, Kumaoni cuisine and Wood fired Pizzas. We only light our wood fired oven under favourable weather conditions, when we have a minimum order of 10 pizzas. Food for us is a celebration of gratitude and abundance. Each meal is elaborate & prepared by the host and her team in the cafe kitchen which is open from 2 sides with glass. Meals at the cafe are something to look forward to and most guests consider this the highlight of their trip. Our menus are curated keeping in mind the fresh local produce that is available to us and changes seasonally. Breakfast charges are 850 per person. Breakfast includes seasonal fruit, eggs to order and an Indian option along with tea/coffee. Pancakes can also be made on request. Lunch and dinner cost Rs. 1250 per person per meal. We are happy to discuss food preferences in advance and plan the menu accordingly, but will not be able to accommodate last minute menu changes and requests. We have a limited snacks and non alcoholic beverages menu for mid meal munchies, besides which we do not serve any a-la-carte options. Guest access Guests have full access to the entire cottage, its garden, cafe and walking trails within the property. Other things to note Naveen’s Glen is a small homely establishment that is unlike any hotel or resort. If you are looking for a holiday filled with city-like services and amenities, we request you to kindly choose a hotel or resort instead. Below are a list of house rules that we expect all our guests to follow. - Check ins will not take place without providing a Govt. recognised identity proof for all guests, irrespective of age. Your ID must carry your permanent address & photo such as an Aadhar, passport or driving licence. Pan Cards will not be accepted. - We request you to please be mindful of all guests, friendly neighbours, birds and all the animals who live in our surrounding forests by not playing loud music or creating loud noises that could be disturbing to others. - Water is a scarce resources in the hills. All our laundry is done in-house to ensure that your linen smells fresh and is always spick and span. We request you to please not wash clothes or waste water. Clothes for washing can be sent to our laundry service. - We use an aqua guard for drinking water and do not stock or serve bottled water. We request you to please be mindful about the plastic waste that you may leave behind.
