Ivy House, designed for two with a king bed, kitchenette, large wood-burning stone fireplace, and patio are all tucked a mere 100’ from the creek. This was originally a barn built by the Etters, homesitters who settled on this property in the 1930s. The Ivy House is considered to be one of our more romantic cottages and the fireplace should be noted for its distinctive river rock stone from Oak Creek. Nestled beside the sparkling waters of Oak Creek and at the foot of the majestic Red Rock mountains, our property boasts a rich history dating back to 1876, when early settlers discovered the area’s bounty of fruit trees, vegetables, and the native German Brown Trout. With our distinctive accommodations and peaceful setting, you’ll have the perfect base to explore all that Sedona has to offer. Whether you’re seeking adventure, relaxation, or a deeper connection with nature, this idyllic retreat promises an unforgettable experience in one of Arizona’s most beautiful locations. Guest access Breakfast is included and served from 8 am - 10 am daily! Included with your stay is a hearty and healthy homemade breakfast, served buffet style in the lodge. It consists of freshly baked bread and muffins, crunchy granola, oatmeal, quiche, hard and soft eggs in the shell, dried plums in an orange sauce, yogurt, fresh-cut fruits and orange juice, coffee, and herbal teas. These can be enjoyed by the fireplace in the lodge during the cooler months, taken on a tray back to your cottage, or best of all, enjoyed creekside in the warmer months. Just when you think it can’t get any better, “Music Maestro!” June through mid-September during breakfast, we enjoy the musical gifts of Maryanne Kremer-Ames and Allen Ames, classical guitarist and violinist known as “Lyra.” They have honored the Briar Patch with their expertise since 1989. Afternoon Refreshments (2 pm - 5 pm, homemade cookies/whole fruit): Each afternoon, enjoy hot mulled cider, a welcome drink in the chill of winter, or on a warm summer day enjoy lemon-infused ice water, hot tea, or coffee, along with home-baked cookies and fresh whole fruit. As one guest exclaimed, “You know you are in the right place when you walk in the door and are hit by the aroma of hot cinnamon cider and freshly baked cookies." Healing Modalities: Our services are currently offered 7 days a week with a maximum of two sessions at a time, depending upon massage practitioner availability. Plan to arrive at the Lodge approximately 5 minutes beforehand so we can direct you to the spa location on the Creek. Please note that we have a 24-hour cancellation policy for our spa services. If you cancel within 24 hours, you will be responsible for 50% of the service charge as the massage therapist has blocked that time in their busy schedule. If you need to cancel your services, please call as soon as possible. Facials are available Tuesday-Friday. Services must be booked at least 24 hours ahead. Please request an appointment with the front desk. Nia Healing Movement: Our Nia Healing Movement Class, led by Alba Wejebe, is movement as medicine for your whole self. The class format involves easy, low-impact movement to music and includes light strength and stretching. Our class is supportive of body and soul, enhancing your connection and quality of aliveness. Allow yourself those nourishing moments to sense embodiment, breath, and presence. Class is accessible for all levels. Shoes are optional as the class is located in our beautiful lower garden. Alba is a Certified Nia Instructor, former professional ballroom dancer, and lifelong movement facilitator. Alba is also a Licensed Massage Therapist.
