Tucked off the road the driveway is easy to miss which is our favorite part of the home! Situated among the trees, on a little stream, private and relaxing are two words often used to describe our cabin! This home is perfect for the adventurers, the small families, the reconnecting couples! Close enough to walk to the resort side activities at Wallowa Lake but tucked back for privacy, relaxation and enjoyment of being in the woods! The space So many different “feels” come from this cabin. The perfect little basecamp for adventurers as it has the basics. The perfect home for a young family because it’s off the path and the stream is so chill that you could let the littles explore without the worry of a constantly flowing river. The perfect cabin for those with slightly older children with the freedom and the flexibility to let them explore all the activities at the resort side of Wallowa Lake. The perfect home for a couple to reconnect because of the privacy the location offers. Regardless of which of those may be you, your hope is your stay in our cabin will send you back to your daily life feeling recharged. Drive down the narrow driveway and park in front of the deck. Parking is best in a single file line (watch out for that stump at the entry when you are leaving our driveway, it’s become one with more than a few bumpers). Take the few steps up to the deck and enter the cabin using the french doors. The open floor plan of the home between the kitchen, dining and living room areas make it so your people are all together! The living area offers a flat screen tv for your evening viewing (bring your home streaming account info). Also in the living area is a queen sized hide a bed for additional sleeping if needed. Off of the living room offers the two bedrooms. One has a metal headboard/footboard offering a queen sized bed and the “kids” room offers a twin bunkbed with sleeping bags for a true camping experience! Back in the dining area, the dining table is perfect for your family game night or the perfect place to start that 1000 piece puzzle! The galley-like kitchen has every basic you will need to put your meals together! Off of the kitchen is the small but mighty bathroom offering a metal shower and a stack washer and dryer. The outside deck area runs the full length of the cabin and offers plenty of outside dining area, a bench to enjoy by the stream, and a propane bbq and propane fire pit (we’ll provide the propane!). Other things to note Please don't take our "fine print" below as anything other than helpful advice, but please do take it seriously. We want you to have a successful and relaxing stay. Here are things we think are helpful to a successful vacation: *SUPPLIES: A starter pack of kitchen/bathroom/utility supplies will be provided. If you run out and need more, you will be responsible for those. *POWER OUTAGES are a thing up here. Frequent at times. We aren’t privy to an ETA anymore than you. Please refer to the Pacific Power website for ETA on outage and restoration. BBQS/FIRE PIT: Seasonally available Memorial Day thru Labor Day. Tanks are provided. PETS: We welcome Fido! (max 2 dogs) Please keep them off beds, (that means sheets too), and all furniture. Keep them safe from wildlife by using a leash, and scoop/dispose of poo in outside garbage can. Additional charges will be sought if evidence is found of our rules being broken. We love dogs, travel with ours as well, but help us keep this home pet friendly by honoring our wishes. ALSO, please be aware that the deer do not play well with dogs. WILDLIFE: Please do not feed, engage in play, pet or disturb the wildlife. Best enjoyed from a distance regardless of how friendly they appear....they are moody little critters! CABLE: Not available, but the TV is smart so bring your streaming account info PARKING: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. FIRES/FIREWORKS/SMOKING/VAPING ETC: Not allowed WIFI: Rural wifi is spotty at times. No refunds unfortunately. Refer to the 3 ring binder on how to reset the wifi router. RURAL LIVING has a lot of advantages. But some things like appliance repairs, service calls, take a bit more time up here please alert us ASAP so we can get the ball rolling. If it isn’t an emergency, but needs attention, refer to the 3 ring binder on how to handle this. BUNKBEDS: BUNKBEDS: Some guests have noticed that this is quite a tight fit between the top bunk and the ceiling. It's best suited for children looking for an adventure. We outfit the beds with sleeping bags, if you prefer actual bedding, please let us know a few days prior to your arrival and we will leave bedding for you to make up the bunks.
