Alternatively, you can park on the public road (and walk about 250 m). Oberwinter is located south of Bonn and is a northern district of Remagen. Oberwinter is located in the countryside, directly on the Rhine. The Rhine Heights Trail is located in the Birgel district, which is located at the top of the Rhine Heights. Bonn center is about 20 minutes (15 km), Remagen about 10 minutes (5 km), Koblenz about 30 minutes. Access to public transport is excellent from Oberwinter train station, where trains run several times an hour to Bonn/Cologne and Koblenz. Doctors, schools, kindergartens and shops for everyday needs are about 1 km away in the center of Oberwinter. Arriving by car is the easiest. Otherwise, trains from Cologne/Bonn or Koblenz stop several times an hour in Oberwinter Bf. There is a short walk (which is a bit steep) up to us on the Rhine Heights.
