We don’t want to lose sight of who we are by pursuing luxury at all costs. What you see is what you get – we’ll welcome guests without much fuss and show them how to live one day at a time, appreciating simple joys, natural beauty, and genuine connections. The Dolomites of old await, too. Welcome! The space Pension Torr is just a stone’s throw from the village of San Martino in Badia, set in a beautiful meadow surrounded by forests. It also boasts a breathtaking view of the Sas dla Crusc, the mountain which saw young Reinhold Messner achieve his first mountaineering feats, and the symbol of the valley. It may be far away from the main throughfare of the village, yet it’s close to everything you need. A guesthouse removed from everything else where you can experience the Dolomites of once upon a time. Nature and silence reign supreme. Today, Moritz and Verena run the guesthouse, following in the footsteps of Giuseppe, who looks on down from heaven, and mother Lena, who still works in the kitchen. The rooms and routines are the same as in the past, all revolving around the concept of genuine, no frills mountain hospitality. The family speaks Ladin, the local language, as well as English. Simplicity takes centre stage, and authenticity shines through everything that is done or offered when staying at the guesthouse. Our rooms overlook the Dolomites and sprawling meadows. Simple yet catering for everything you need. Our idea of hospitality is based on the bare necessities and not on over-the-top amenities. All you need is our ensuite rooms, comfortable beds, a wardrobe, and sober decorations. Come and enjoy the mountain holiday you deserve. We’ve never followed trends: our guesthouse offers good old half-board accommodation. Breakfast is served between 7:30am and 9:30am, and dinner at 7:15pm for all guests, consisting of a typical Italian three-course meal: two savoury dishes and a dessert. Our menus are deeply rooted in tradition, and Lena will whip up mouthwatering meals in the kitchen. There’s always a good bottle of wine at hand, ready to help you forget the everyday stress. After all, you’re on holiday. Enjoy it. Guest access In addition to their own room with a private bathroom, our guests have access to all shared areas: bar (open from 8:00am to 11:00pm), lounge, dining room, equipped outdoor area, and garden.
