The complex in the historic center and our Fenja vacation apartment Welcome to Hof van Senden, a farm built around 1890, which was converted into a lovingly renovated vacation home in 2022, 2023 and 2024 under monument protection. Here, modernity meets a history of over 130 years. Hof van Senden extends over a plot of approx. *contact info removed* sqm and is the perfect place for a year-round vacation, away from everyday stress in a unique environment! It is located in the historic Rundwarft of the picturesque East Frisian village of Rysum, only about 10 km from Emden. Both the historic center with its idyllic streets and the North Sea coast, only about 1 km away, invite you to take walks in the village or along the dyke. Our bright and cozy furnished duplex apartment "Fenja" offers enough space on 56 square meters for a restful and relaxing vacation for the whole family with up to 4 people. The entrance area to our apartment can be reached via the so-called Gulf, in East Frisia the name for the former barn part of the historically renovated building. On 2 floors you will find modern and high-quality furnishings with real wood parquet, underfloor heating, smart TV, Internet radio (kitchen and bathroom), dishwasher, Nespresso machine, toaster, microwave, Wi-Fi and much more. On the ground floor there is a harmoniously furnished living and dining area next to a spacious kitchen area fully equipped with all amenities. In addition, a guest toilet and a storage room are available. A wooden trolley with a selection of children's books as well as colorful Duplo and Lego blocks are available to our youngest holiday guests.   Enjoy the tranquility on the terrace with our provided garden furniture.   The upper floor features two tastefully furnished bedrooms. The modern bathroom is equipped with a floor-level shower, toilet and towel heater. The upper staircase area is additionally secured for our smallest guests with a staircase guard. Furthermore, all accessible sockets in the apartment are equipped with integrated child protection. If you arrive by e-car, you will also find a charging station in this parking lot (billing according to consumption).   Pets are not allowed so that allergy sufferers can also feel completely comfortable in the Fenja apartment. Please understand that a special cleaning fee of €250 will be charged in the event of non-compliance. Relax and enjoy an unforgettable stay in the apartment "Fenja"!

Rysum and surroundings Experience the charm of the historic village of Rysum, a beautiful wharf village in the North Sea region of Krummhörn, about 10 km west of Emden and in the immediate vicinity of the North Sea coast. Marvel at the circular buildings or visit the church with one of the oldest playable organs in Northern Europe, the Rysum mill from 1895 or one of the oldest farm workers' houses from the year *contact info removed*. Not to be forgotten is the small bakery near the Hof van Senden, where you can buy delicious cakes and pastries in addition to crispy rolls. Discover the natural beach at Rysumer Knock or take a bike tour over the dike to the resort "Greetsiel", including a detour to the Otto lighthouse or a visit to "The old brewery" (inn) in Pilsum.   Take the opportunity for a day trip to the East Frisian islands of Borkum, Norderney or Juist.
