Birgu Hideaway - The Nook

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space, a 10 minute stroll from the bustle of the Birgu Waterfront. This 400 year old apartment is tucked away in the most historic part of the City, known as il-Collacchio, where the knights' Auberges and the Inquisitor's Palace are located. The street is traffic free and you can enjoy sitting out on the balcony and watching the world go by. The apartment has been lovingly restored, keeping its character while enjoying all modern amenities. The space The Nook is 400 years old and was built before anyone considered accessibility. There is a flight of stairs as soon as you enter. At the top of the stairs on the right is the toilet, dead ahead is the shower room and to the left is the kitchen and living room. The bedroom is accessed through the shower room. We apologise, but the stairs and the balcony make the property unsuitable for young children. The kitchen is a full kitchen, ideal for foodies wanting to cook with the local produce. A selection of good restaurants are within easy walking distance. Guest access Guests have access to the entire property. If a cupboard is locked and there is no key in the lock, that means it's off limits. Other things to note There are free public parking spaces close by. However, corners are tight and we recommend a small car. That said, there is good bus and ferry access to Valletta and then on to the rest of the island, so car hire isn't strictly necessary. There are always ride hailing apps when a car is needed.
