Description

Looking for a nature break this spring? Welcome to our Hautbois lodge, a cozy haven nestled in a hamlet at an altitude of 550 m (1,800 ft), deep in the forest, in the Sidobre region (Tarn), 1.5 hours from Toulouse, Béziers, or Carcassonne. Wake up to the sounds of nature, enjoy your morning coffee on the raised terrace, relax with a good book, and go on hikes starting from the cottage: between the Haut-Languedoc, the Montagne Noire, and the Monts de Lacaune, you can gently reconnect with what truly matters. The space The Hautbois lodge is a renovated accommodation in 2024, clean and warm on 2 levels, with an atypical configuration: you enter directly through the bedroom level and the living space is below. The cottage is particularly suitable for a couple, a family, or someone working remotely. Highlights: * Terrace on stilts to enjoy the calm and the forest * Reading net: relaxation guaranteed * Wood-burning stove (wood provided) * Fiber WiFi + dedicated workspace: perfect for teleworking in the countryside * Many accessible walks in the surrounding area * Sheets and towels provided, beds made on arrival Sleeping accommodations (up to 5 guests maximum, including an infant) 1 bedroom with 160×200 bed 1 bedroom with 3 beds 90 × 200 (including 1 bunk bed) that can be combined into a large bed 180 × 200 (upon request). Living room - Cozy living room to relax after walks. - dining area - fully equipped kitchen - wooden terrace with reading net Winter warmth & atmosphere The accommodation is equipped with a wood-burning stove: ideal for cocooning stays out of season, it is even the main means of heating. Wood is provided. Remote working & networking Here, the 4G can be weak... and that's also what makes the place charming. Good news: the accommodation is equipped with fiber WiFi, stable and efficient. A small desk in each room will allow you to telecommute in peace. Kitchen & Amenities: The kitchen is equipped for easy cooking: oven, induction stovetop, fridge-freezer, Italian coffee maker, kettle, dishes, utensils... The basics of everyday life are provided to start your stay serenely. To stay true to the spirit of the place, there is no microwave and no coffee maker with pods. Here you can take the time to cook, and enjoy the time otherwise. Please note that there is no television: we wanted to preserve the “forest getaway” vibe. Instead, you'll find books, board games… and even boots to enjoy nature, even when it rains (long live puddles!). Options (upon request): To make your stay even easier: - breakfast basket (€12/pers) - aperitif basket (from €16/pers) - local products - In winter: vegetarian raclette basket (from €16/pers) Free baby kit (upon request): Traveling with a baby is already an organization! Here, we simplify your life and for a light stay we provide a complete baby kit free of charge, on request: - Umbrella bed + mattress - High chair - Transat - Cane stroller - Baby carrier for hiking - Baby bathtub - Changing mat + towel - Safety gate - Booster seat - Bottle heater - Sleepy - Various useful small accessories Nature & surroundings You are in the heart of a spectacular region, the Sidobre: forests, rocks, trails and fresh air. It's the perfect place to disconnect in the heart of nature, in any season. Ideal starting point for visiting Castres, Albi, Carcassonne and Toulouse, why not. Values & spirit of the place: Parenthèse en Forêt is also a committed place: * sanitation by phyto-purification * energy production via photovoltaic panels * EV charging station on site to facilitate green stays * On-site waste sorting and composting * mostly organic and local products Pets (please read carefully): * Your pet is welcome (maximum 1 pet per accommodation). * We provide a basket, bowls, towels and a blanket. * It must be clean and non-destructive, * Must not be left alone in the accommodation * In the hamlet, your pet can be free only if it responds very well to the recall. Otherwise, for safety (and for other animals), a leash is essential. The property is not fenced, so your pet must remain under your supervision. Parking & electric vehicle: - 2 parking spaces in our covered parking lot on site - EV charging station type 2, 7kw (let us know when booking) Things to know: We have carefully renovated Hautbois. Please respect the quietness of the hamlet and leave the accommodation clean: here, we come to relax and enjoy a preserved place. Feel free to check out our other 2 lodges by clicking on my profile photo or: Canopy Lodge for 1 to 2 people - 1 bedroom - wood-burning stove - terrace on stilts - enclosed land: https://www.airbnb.fr/h/parentheseenforetcanopee and Lodge Baliveau for 1 to 4 people - 2 bedrooms - Wood-burning stove - brazier: https://www.airbnb.fr/h/parentheseenforetbaliveau Guest access You will have the entire place and a private terrace.
