Welcome to our Hautbois lodge, a cozy retreat nestled in a hamlet at an altitude of 550 m, in the heart of the forest, in the Sidobre (Tarn), 1.5 hours from Toulouse, Béziers or Carcassonne. Wake up to the sounds of nature, enjoy your morning coffee on the elevated terrace, read a book, and go hiking from the cottage: between Haut-Languedoc, Montagne Noire, and Monts de Lacaune, gently reconnect with what's essential. The space The Hautbois lodge is a clean and warm 2-level accommodation renovated in 2024, with an atypical layout: you enter directly on the upper floor, the bedroom level, and the living area is below on the ground floor. The cottage is particularly suitable for a couple, a family or a person working remotely. Highlights: * Terrace on stilts to enjoy rest and the forest * Reading net: relaxation guaranteed * Wood-burning stove (wood supplied in winter) * Fiber Wi-Fi + dedicated workspace: perfect for teleworking in the countryside * Many walks available in the surrounding area * Sheets and towels provided, beds made on arrival Sleeping arrangements (up to 5 guests maximum, including a baby) 1 bedroom with 160×200 bed 1 bedroom with 3 beds of 90×200 (including 1 bunk bed) that can be joined together to form a large bed of 180 x 200 (upon request). Living room - cozy living room to relax after walks - dining area - equipped kitchen - wooden terrace with a reading hammock Winter warmth & atmosphere The accommodation is equipped with a wood-burning stove: ideal for cozy stays in the off-season, it is even the main means of heating. The wood is provided. Working remotely & network Here, the 4G can be weak... and that's also what gives the place its charm. Good news: the accommodation is equipped with stable and effective fiber-optic wifi. A small desk in each room will allow you to work remotely in peace. Kitchen & amenities: The kitchen is equipped for easy cooking: oven, induction stove, fridge-freezer, Italian coffee maker, kettle, dishes, utensils, etc. The basics of everyday life are provided so you can start your stay with peace of mind. To stay true to the spirit of the place, there is no microwave and no pod coffee maker. Here you can take the time to cook and enjoy your time in a different way. Please note that there is no television: we wanted to keep the “break in the forest” spirit. Instead, you'll find books, board games... and even boots to enjoy nature, even when it's raining (long live the puddles!). It's the perfect place to disconnect in the heart of nature, in any season. Ideal starting point for visiting Castres, Albi, Carcassonne, and even Toulouse. Values & spirit of the place: Forest Getaway is also a committed place: * sanitation by phyto-purification * energy production via photovoltaic panels * EV charging station on site to facilitate green stays * waste sorting and composting on-site * mostly organic and local products Pets (please read carefully): * Your pet is welcome (maximum 1 pet per unit). * We provide a basket, bowls, towels and a blanket. * It must be clean and non-destructive, * It must not be left alone in the accommodation * In the hamlet, your pet can only be off the leash if it responds very well to the command to come. Otherwise, for safety (and for the other animals), a leash is essential. The property is not fenced, so your pet must remain under your supervision. Parking & electric vehicle: - 2 spaces in our covered parking on site - Type 2, 7 kW electric vehicle charging station (let us know when booking) Things to know: We have carefully renovated Hautbois. Other things to note * The Hautbois lodge is equipped with wifi but the 4G network is bad with all operators. * The place is not suitable for people in wheelchairs - there are stairs and the bedrooms are upstairs.
