We named this Airbnb "Drey" in honour of the adorable Malabar giant squirrels that share this space with us. They consider it their home and visit almost every morning, especially during the summer. As a gesture of gratitude, we adopted the name of their nest, recognizing this place as theirs too! Previously owned by a family who lived here for two generations, we renovated the house to its current look in 2022. Guest access When you book Villa Drey@ druv Dakshin , you'll have exclusive access to the entire villa, guaranteeing complete privacy and comfort. The villa features two air-conditioned bedrooms and a versatile air-conditioned living room with four single sofa beds, making it ideal for larger groups. The living room includes a full bathroom, providing the same comfort and functionality as a regular bedroom. Additionally, guests can enjoy a private kitchen and dining room, which is exclusively for those staying in Villa Drey. Additionally, within the same compound, we have a second villa called “The Hive.” It is well-separated from Villa Drey, with its gated entry, guaranteeing privacy for both properties. The only shared spaces between the two villas are the pool, cricket practice nets, and the expansive garden. For added seclusion, each villa comes with its own private tree hut and dedicated dining area. Our farmhouse offers a range of amenities, including property chef services, a refreshing pool, a cricket practice net, a lush garden, and two private tree huts perched at the edge of the property. These huts, handcrafted by local artisans, offer stunning views of the Banasura Dam’s catchment area and are reserved exclusively for guests of each villa. Upon arrival, you'll receive the key to your private tree hut along with your villa keys. Other things to note Our property is conveniently located just 1.5 km from the entry gate of the mighty Banasura Sagar Dam, the largest earthen dam in India and the second largest in Asia. You can also enjoy speed boating on the dam by booking online. By booking The Drey at Druv Dakshin, you are entering a traditional farmhouse-themed property that offers shade, delicious food, and fun activities. With your booking, you will receive exclusive access to a tree hut where you can read, relax, and even work online. Despite being nearly 100 meters from the main house, the tree hut is equipped with a WiFi relay from an optical fibre internet connection.
