The Well House

The Brunnenhaus attracts with a mix of old and new. We have tried to bring comfort and convenience to a common denominator using natural building materials such as wood and clay. On the ground floor is the large living-dining area with a Bullerjan wood-burning stove and large dining table for 10 people. The house does not have central heating. There are electric heaters in the bathrooms. Please note: The Bullerjan wood-burning stove is the central heat source for the whole house. The space On the ground floor there is the large living-dining area with a large sofa bed, a cozy two-seater and some armchairs, so that eight people can relax together in front of the roaring wood-burning stove. The old wooden table can accommodate 10 people and a modern kitchenette invites you to cook. The bright, quiet courtyard directly adjacent is small, but you are private and undisturbed. There is also a larger bathroom with a bathtub and washing machine on the ground floor, as well as a bedroom with two single beds (90×200 cm). Upstairs there are two shower rooms and three more bedrooms. Two of them have an extra bed in adult size, so 8 people can be accommodated well. Guest access By default, we prepare a double bed for two people. This means that if you book for four, we will prepare two double beds, i.e. two bedrooms. If you have any requests for single bedrooms, please contact us. Then we will be happy to clarify the booking options and the additional costs. From eight people, all four bedrooms are available to you. Other things to note Dear guests, We were forced to equip the house without central heating. Due to the uncertainty in the supply of gas, the lack of alternative heating options, the non-approval of solar panels by the monument protection, we could only fall back on heating with wood. At the beginning of the renovation (2019), there were no specialist companies and no heat pumps in the Altmark. Everything was in transition and no one had the perspective - to put it bluntly. Now the house is very well insulated and on the ground floor a cozy warm fire can be lit with a 14 KW wood stove. Otherwise, all bathrooms are equipped with electric heaters, not least for frost protection.
