Frog Hill: 8 bedroom luxe rural retreat near town

Frog Hill offers the best of both worlds for your Mudgee getaway. It offers 2 spacious houses that sleep a total of 16 people in 8 bedrooms on a gorgeous 25 acre property. (Plus 2 additional single mattresses to sleep 18 available on request). And yet its only a 5 minute drive from Mudgee town with all of its fabulous pubs, restaurants, cafes and the wineries scattered around the neighbourhood. With the 10 person spa, firepit, BBQ and relaxed verandahs, you won't want to leave! The space Frog Hill is a rural getaway surrounded by native bushland and farms, yet is only a 5-minute drive from Mudgee town. It is the perfect home away from home for spending quality time with family and friends. Frog Hill comprises 2 separate houses, approx 300m apart. The main house, Lazy Frog Lodge is a newly built 6-bedroom house, and the freshly painted Green Tree Cottage has 2 bedrooms. As soon as you enter the 25-acre property you will feel instantly relaxed, as you drive past the resident kangaroos and birdlife enjoying the native gardens. 4 of the bedrooms open via French doors onto the front verandah, where you can grab a morning coffee watching the kangaroos graze peacefully or enjoy the sunset with a drink in the evening. The other 4 bedrooms have views through large windows of the garden and surrounding bushland. All 3 lounge rooms have comfy lounges and large digital TVs, with a huge selection of books and board games for quiet times. If you prefer to relax outdoors, there are plenty of options with a large al fresco area with outdoor lounges and dining table, two large fire pits with complimentary firewood, verandahs with more lounges and of course the 10-12 person spa! Frog Hill has 4 full bathrooms, one with an indulgent claw foot bath, 2 full kitchens equipped with everything you will need, and plenty of living space for everyone to be together but also to have some quiet time. And if you drive an electric car, we have a Fronius level 2 EV charger (up to 7kw) available for your complimentary use. If you would like indulgent grazing platters ready in the fridge for your group's arrival, we are more than happy to arrange that, and there are a number of wine tour and transport companies who are more than happy to collect you from Frog Hill and take you out for the day. Or if you would prefer to stay in, we can arrange for an in-house wine tasting too! We also have 2 cots each with a fitted sheet and 2 highchairs available for your use at no additional charge. Guest access During your stay you will have full access to the two houses which are located approx 300m apart, with a flat all-weather driveway running between them. Hit a golf ball or kick a footy on the open paddocks in front of the houses, skim rocks or catch yabbies or fish in the dams or wander through the bushland in the hills behind the houses. We are very keen to offer early check in and late check out to ensure that you have as much time as possible to enjoy Mudgee and Frog Hill. We are very happy to have your dog stay with you, however please let us know when you book. The property is not completely fenced though is a fair distance from a quiet dirt road.
