Description
The whole group will be comfortable in this spacious and unique space. Backing onto and overlooking the Little Yarra River, this generous cottage gives you a wonderful base to set out on wilderness adventures, hiking in the rain forest surrounding you or exploring the wineries and eateries of the Yarra Valley. 20 minutes drive to Warburton in one direction or head the other way and 20 mins drive to the Noojee Pub or Toolshed. The Ada Tree and Seven Acre rock are two of the nearby attractions The space Welcome, lovingly renovated over 6 years, our 100 odd year old miner’s cottage is deceptively big. The house has three comfortable bedrooms, a king, a queen, and a double. Deep pile carpeting in these rooms add to the cosy feel. The library room has a queen size innerspring sofa bed if needed. Also in the library room are books and jigsaws. Perfect to curl up with in front of the wood fire. The lounge has ample seating on plush leather lounge. A large wall hung smart tv with soundbar is there for streaming all your favourites. Dinning area has an extendable 4 to 6 seater table, it extends with an easy slide mechanism. There is also the breakfast bar with stools. Heating and cooling are provided by two large split systems at either end of the house, the library room has a wood burning fire. The kitchen is modern with new quality wall oven and induction hot plates. All your basic cooking utensils and cutlery, glasses, dining ware are provided. Dishwasher and fridge, toaster, microwave, kettle, coffee pod machine. A small freezer is in the laundry. The bathroom has a lovely deep bath and large shower with rain head. Body soaps are provided as is a hairdryer A toilet in the bathroom and a second one is located in the laundry. The laundry has a washing machine, a dryer, laundry tub, iron and ironing board. Outside there is a bbq area with seating for 6 plus barstools and built in slabs of wood giving a bar like effect. Weber Q and bbq tools. It overlooks the rainforest and river. The Little Yarra River runs at the back of the property, then rainforest. Guests are advised that access to the river is steep and once you go through the gate in the back fence you are no longer on our property, it is a case of “enter at own risk” Guest access Entire house and garden Other things to note Powelltown still has a functioning sawmill on the other side of the road.
