Architect's House in Rittenhouse Sq
Architect's House in Rittenhouse Sq
Description
Four-story small sunny rowhouse in very desirable Rittenhouse Sq. area: Lots of shops and restaurants and within walking distance of all major tourist attractions. Three bedrooms, living and garden spaces, finished basement guest/playroom. Long stay minimum. The space This is my own house, furnished lovingly with mid-century modern style and with traces of family life everywhere. It is a sunny, lovely little house with four floors in the best neighborhood (my opinion of course) in Center City Philadelphia. The city in this area feels very European. I would say the house has four bedrooms, but the last is a finished basement/playroom with a Murphy bed, for occasional guests only. The street is a picture-perfect traditional 1890's Philadelphia "stable" block--all of the houses were formerly stables and inns. The street is tree-lined and quiet, yet near everything. Everyone on the block is extremely friendly and kind. Guest access You can access the entire house and garden. Other things to note Many people ask about parking. Truthfully, leave your car behind if you can, as this is always a problem. There is free street parking about 4 blocks away. Philadelphia allows me to furnish you a temporary permit so you can park closer on the street, but for only two weeks/month. Otherwise, you will need to move your car every two hours, not viable I'm afraid. Of course, you can always lease a space in a garage, but this is independent from renting the house.
