Ancient Granary

An old court house, finely renovated, tells of a culture and tradition carved in stone. Fix your starting point here and fully enjoy your vacation. The space “Palazzo Micheli- Angelelli” (Sec. XVI) In front of the Baronal Castle, of which it was certainly an integral part, we find the Micheli-Ange-lelli palace, in the early 700s. In the coat of arms, inserted as a key to the arch, we notice, on the left, the Angels of the Angelelli and, on the right, the lion with the seven stars of the Micheli. The entrance consists of a covered hallway, which is divided into a set of arches, lowered and with edge vaults. On the left, embedded in the wall, a cistern that needed the noble floor, while from the well, in the center of the courtyard, the different members of the family drew water. Entering the house we find the classic star and barrel vaults, typical of Salento homes; finely renovated and with the "Tufi" left on view. The typical grananai caravans carved into the floor that served as supplies of the families who lived there complete the charm of the house. Entering you are in a room equipped with a dining table, sink, fridge and coffee machine. (There is no kitchen), the rooms are one on the left with a double sofa bed and direct access to the bathroom, the other is on the right with a queen-size bed on the mezzanine or for those who prefer it, there are two single sofa beds.
