Ancient Granary

An ancient court house, finely renovated, tells of a culture and tradition carved in stone. Salento, a land to love: starting from this enchanted place, you have the opportunity to venture out to discover everything this land has to offer: the sun, the sea, the countryside, the "pizzica" folk dance. Set your starting point here and fully enjoy your vacation. The space "Palazzo Micheli-Angelelli" (16th century) Opposite the Baronial Castle, of which it was certainly an integral part, we find the Micheli-Angelelli palace, from the early 1700s. In the coat of arms, inserted as the keystone of the arch, we note, on the left, the angels of the Angelelli and, on the right, the lion with the seven stars of the Micheli. The entrance consists of a covered entrance hall, which is divided into a play of round arches, lowered and with corner vaults. On the left, embedded in the wall, is a cistern that served the main floor, while the well in the center of the courtyard was used by the various members of the family. Entering the house we find the classic star and barrel vaults, typical of Salento homes; finely renovated and with the "Tufi" left exposed. The charm of the house is completed by the typical granaries dug into the floor that served as supplies for the families who lived there. Guest access The accommodation is for the complete and exclusive use of guests. Other things to note The house is suitable for families and small groups of friends. Upon entering, you will find yourself in a room equipped with a dining table, sink, refrigerator, and coffee machine. (There is no kitchen), the rooms are one on the left with a double sofa bed and direct access to the bathroom, the other is on the right with a loft bed or for those who prefer there are two single sofa beds.
