Cozy and authentic, this monumental building knows no bounds. The building was built in 1850, has been completely restored and, in addition to the four guest rooms, has a cozy spacious living room with fireplace and two bedsteads. In total, including bedsteads, there are 12 sleeping places. The property is located in the middle of the old town of Amerongen. 10 minutes away from the woods of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. Many opportunities for hiking, mountain biking and cycling. The space The property consists of a cozy spacious living room with a large table that can accommodate 12 people, a lounge area and a fireplace. In the living room there are two beds that can be used by people no longer than 170 cm. There are 5 bedrooms for a total of 12 adults (including two beds 170cm). Two rooms on the second floor are air-conditioned. All rooms have a television with streaming services such as Netflix, etc. The breakfast room offers space for all people to have breakfast, lunch etc. The breakfast room is adjacent to the kitchen which is equipped with all modern appliances such as a (new 2025) oven, dishwasher, washing machine, bread machine, etc. There is a spacious and cozy enclosed garden. There is a barn for bikes etc. There are three bathrooms located the property. The property is in the city center of Amerongen opposite the Amerongen Castle and a 10-minute walk from the woods of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. There is a possibility to store and recharge the bikes. Excellent range of restaurants within walking distance (max 5 minutes) Guest access The whole house may be used. There are a number of places where private goods are stored. Other things to note There is parking for several cars right in front of the door. It is a vulnerable house in terms of interior design (antiques and glass). Therefore, the request to treat this with respect. The fireplace may be used. The first load is free. Subsequent loads cost €10 per load. Breakfast service is possible in consultation. The house is not wheelchair friendly due to the thresholds and limited access to the shower.
