Your 75 m² apartment "Zonnebloem" combines historic flair with modern design. It is located on the 1st floor of the listed building (anno 1854) directly on Theaterplatz with fantastic views of the theater, the Albrechtsburg and many imposing houses. Your 3-room apartment is brightly furnished and can accommodate 6 people. To ensure your sleep is first-class, two bedrooms with a cozy king-size bed (1.80 x 2 m) and hotel-level bedding await you. A comfortable pull-out couch with mattress and slatted base (1.40 x 2 m) in the living room allows six people to stay overnight. The new fitted kitchen is fully equipped: induction stove, large fridge and extra freezer, kettle, toaster and cookware. High-quality spices, olive oil and everything else you need to cook delicious food are also available. We have also prepared various types of tea and a selection of coffee capsules for the NESPRESSO coffee machine. You can enjoy your coffee in the loggia overlooking the Frauenkirche and your dinner at the large round real wood table in the dining area in the living room, which can accommodate 6 people. The 55" smart TV gives you the opportunity to access NETFLIX, Amazon Prime, Youtube or media libraries or to browse the TV program with Waipu TV. On the large couch, you can make yourself comfortable and end the evening relaxed with books, magazines or a board game. In the bathroom you will find a rainforest shower and a bathtub. Of course, we provide fresh towels, a hairdryer and bathroom essentials. Fast Wi-Fi (70 Mbit/s) and the Nespresso coffee machine also make working in the apartment a pleasure. Our guests can use our parking lot free of charge, which is approx. 8 minutes' walk from the apartment. You will receive the exact address after booking. The location of the apartment is also ideal: The apartment is located directly on Theaterplatz opposite Theater Meißen, which welcomes many national and international artists for comedy and live music in addition to classical theater. Numerous cozy restaurants and cafes are very close. The Meißen-Altstadt S-Bahn station is in approx. 8 minutes' walk. The world-famous porcelain factory is only 1 km away. Dresden can be reached by car in 30 minutes or by S-Bahn in 45 minutes. Meissen is an ideal location for excursions to Moritzburg Castle, the Ore Mountains and Saxon Switzerland. Sarah is originally from near Meissen and we ourselves are often on site to visit family and friends at home. Therefore, we ask you to be polite and respectful with our neighbors. The name of our apartment, Fynbos, comes from the Afrikaans language and refers to a typical vegetation in South Africa. Since we are both absolute South Africa fans, there are some elements from the beautiful country on the Cape in the apartment. Each of our apartments is equipped with at least one personal picture from our trips to Africa. Your apartment “Zonnebloem” is named after a winery in South Africa. Zonnebloem Wines is not only one of the oldest wineries in South Africa, it is also one of the best wines the country has to offer. The "Zonnebloem" (German: sunflower) estate emerged from the farm founded in 1692 through the division of inheritance in 1856. Guest access During your stay, you will have the apartment completely to yourself and will be undisturbed. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. The key is handed over easily by PIN through the electronic locking system (no key required). This allows you to check in independently and contactlessly and be completely independent and flexible. Other things to note We provide high-quality bedding and towels. Coffee, tea, sugar, olive oil and a selection of high-quality spices are at your disposal free of charge during your stay. Guest tax: The city of Meissen levies a guest tax for the maintenance and development of the tourist infrastructure. Therefore, people who book accommodation in the city pay an amount of €1.50 per person per night all year round. This does not apply to: children and adolescents up to the age of 18 year of life; pupils, students and trainees from the 18th to the 25th year of life; severely disabled persons with the pre-printed symbols BL or aG in the severely disabled person's identity card as well as accompanying persons of severely disabled persons with proof; each additional person of a family if guest tax is paid for three family members.
